I understand if you enjoyed it, but I'd be surprised if you said it wasn't super hard.
No, it was pretty hard.

author=facesforceauthor=BareGamerGo ahead, but I really need to get around to making it more interesting. Please note that the dungeon will drive you crazy just due to the grinding.
Going to re-download this and give it another shot. I may review it.
I must remake this. I have to fix the final boss. Seriously, I have played this over and over, and even made it to the top floor, but the random alignments seems like a bad idea now, and I can not beat my own final boss. I think it may be a bit broken, but give it as bad of a review as you see fit! XD It was only made in four hours, and it was a bit to ambitious to make a dungeon crawler that would be fun in that time. The spiritual sequel to this is what I am working on now, but I might release a 1.2 patch to fix some of the bugs with it this weekend.
Well, happy crawling! I think I will review your puzzlesmith game once I finish it, I am enjoying it a lot.
Oh, and my points from may were pretty much just only me. Apparently not many people like really bad games like me, but you can not say I did not warn you from the very start. Good luck, Baregamer, and if you beat Zypher and send me a screen of a ending, I will make a blog post in you honor. Enjoy.
If you have plans to remake it, when will this be done? I may wait to review it until then.

I actually didn't get that far because I got stuck inside a house. You should double-check your transitions and take another look at your mapping to fix any errors. Other than that... this game has a lot of potential and I hope you continue to work on it!
Pros:
- Very nice mapping. Well-done! Except the occasional mapping error (I only found one).
- Well-written dialogue. Simple and direct. You seem to know how to write to fit the theme of your game.
- Battle HUD is a big step up from the default one. May even consider using this one myself, unless it's custom but I think I've seen it before.
- Battles are balanced but you don't really have to form a strategy to defeat the enemies that I encountered.
Cons:
- Not all map transitions work. Especially the building with the NPC in front that talks about how she should be at the inn but prefers to pick her flowers.
- There isn't a sprint button. Big mistake, I think. I really like to speed things up when I'm wandering through the wilderness.
- You can't save from the game menu? Why? I know some other games do this as well but It's definitely an inconvenience for me.
