Man, I swear I have nerfed those ghosts enough! @_@ I'm sorry that they seem to still be evil. :(
It's ok. It threw me off the game for a bit. Made me work on mine. But now that I know it wasn't intentional, I can start up (dang) a new save and grind up a few more levels. :)

Your maps could honestly do with some improvement, in my opinion. They look a bit empty...
Try adding in more stuff; flowers, more trees, etc. to spruce it up a bit. Also, what's with one map having big trees and a big house, yet the others don't? Seems a little odd...
Just my opinion, though.
These maps are just a bit of early planning. I was using Hanzo's cliff set but I switched over to Mack's tiles. Trust me, the maps I'm working on now look much nicer. I've posted them already over here: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/5498-the-alchemists-brother/
I'll be updating there more often because it's easier to maintain than here at RMN.

I have enough time to dedicate to the game. :) One thing I've always been good at is time management.

Maybe you should learn to do some spriting! This is a really good tutorial for spriting which I found incredibly helpful when I started out. It's not so tricky, it's just time consuming.
I've read some of his stuff but I never saw the spriting tutorial. Definitely checking it out.

Actually, it's starting to remind me of Tales of Graces with the two brothers (one with red hair one with blue) who are separated as kids! XD But again, the similarities aren't strong. Separation of family is quite a common storyline these days, but damn is it good!
But I'm really lovin' the looks of this game. Your mapping is improving with every screenshot you send out. Keep up the good work!

And yeah, my skills just keep improving. About two years ago is when I started playing around with RMVX and I took like a 6 month hiatus on it to focus on learning some musical stuff and look for a job.
The current characters are only placeholders. I've got to find someone who can sprite for me but that's not really so important right now. I'm focusing on mapping, story, database stuff, etc.

edit: with the effeminate thing, all I meant was how someone acts has no bearing on which gender(s) they dig.
I wasn't meaning it to sound as though he was into guys/trannies/etc (if you are, cool. More power to you.) I was just meaning it to portray the fact that he was in favor of the penis-touching.

Also, this is the internet. I'm pretty sure anyone can get away with a penis-touching game about anything.
And yeah, people can get away with it but I want my project to be fairly serious. Obviously there will be comic relief throughout it (including some penis-touching) but not brotherly penis-touching.
