Hello! Don't worry about how you introduce yourself, just be yourself doing it. Different engines can have varying degrees of difficulty, not to mention that a lot of times, the makers of said engines make it harder than it has to be.
Anyways, the best advice I can give you is this; Persistence is very important to have in this whole gamedev thing, even if its nothing more than the work of a hobbyist. Also, constructive criticism is your friend; don't overlook it or push it aside without second thought.
tl;dr: Don't give up!
Oh, I see...
And thanks for the advice~!

Pepsi or Cola?
Furry or Human?
If you chose the latter option on both of those, then we should get along.
Welcome to RMN.
Umm... Cola, and Human... ^^
And thanks~!

Umm, hi...
Hi, um... I've been often looking around here for a few months already, and it's only now that I've decided on joining. You can just call me Caera; I'm 15 years old. I loved writing stories and articles ever since I was in 5th grade, and loved playing RPGs since I was in 6th grade.
I've taken interest in making visual novels last year, at around November. I managed to finish my first VN, Raindrops(back there, Antheia was the username I used), in less than a week; but the artwork was really... not good. >.< Then I tried again on my second one in December (for a supposedly-Christmas themed VN), where I failed (and I guess gave up; for some reason, I got really discouraged at trying to make another VN or trying to improve it).
Well, now, I'm currently learning how RPG Maker VX works, and hoping that I could develop making even just a really short and simple game with it...
(Um, sorry... I wasn't really sure how I'd be introducing myself here...)
