I've bought Activision Anthology on PS2 Saturday. I love this compilation. My old atari 2600 dosen't work on my TV (I believe that the atari 2600 can only be plugged into a 30 years old TV), and have more than 30 Atari 2600 games on the same disc, I'm so happy to have this :D But, there are problems. The main menu sucks. It is just a 80's room made with a very basic 3D. I know that we play retro games but it's not a reason to give us a shitty menu like this one, with 8 bits sonds. And there are some problems with the graphics. In Stampede I can't see the score in color mode. I don't know if it was the same on the old atari 2600, but I can't play some games in color mode :/ I liked the fact that you can switch to Black and White mode. Old school style rules 8) Oh, and an other bad point. Kaboom. This game is totaly fuckin funny, but to play it, there was a Paddle Controller. But on the PS2.. You use the Joystick. Just impossible to play :/ And the final bad part, it's the PS2 Joypad. The D Pad is shitty. But you need to use the D Pad because the Analog is worse :/ But even if there are so much bad things, I fuckin love this compilation :^p

Sorry I'm late. Well, as you can see, I haven't done the translation. I have some problems with words, and I don't have enough time. The translated version will be for a little later. But even if it's late, you'll get it XD. I have the French version.

Orig, Zelda the Wand of Gamelon is a bad game. Even if you don't compare it to other Zelda games. There is some things in the gameplay which are totally shitty. First, the fact that to speak to NPCs, you have to hit them with the sword. Example, you have some monsters to kill and near them, there is a NPC. During the fight, I'll probably hit the NPC. But I don't wanna speak to him! Just totally fuckin horrible. Other part of the gamplay which is anoying. The only way to go to the status screen is to crouch and press the button 2. What's the fuck? Why I can't just use the button 3? During the game, the button 2 is also used to open doors. So, if I am in front of a door, and a wanna go to the status screen. Impossible, I open the door. So I have got to go far this door. And if there are ennemies and I need bombs to kill them? I'm fucked because I can't use them (The button 2 also allows you to use objects). And, I think that an average of 70% of the rooms that I have to go in becomes dark. Even in the top of a tree (!) But let me explain you a case. I am in front of a door. I wanna get in the room. So I press 2 and open the door. The place is dark. I wanna use the lantern. I press 2. But i'm in front of this damn door so I go out! Shit. I go back in the room. I need to go quite far of the door to use the lantern. But as it's dark, I don't see where i'm going! And if there is a gap, I fall in. Shit. I lost one life. Just because it was impossible to use the lantern. Have you ever seen this in other games? Me, not. And this shit really anoyed me when I was playing the game. But it's not enough. It's impossible to know where you can go. For example, in Ahitaru there is a big fish skelton. It impossible to me to know if I can go on. Of course I can walk on the beginning, but near the middle,I fall. It's impossible too to jump down. Boss are too ridiculy fuckin easy. I hit them with an object, and I've killed him. Just one hit to kill a boss. What's this shit? Is that a boss or a fuckin classic monster? Even to fight Ganon. I juste have to throw the Wand of Gamelon on him. It's the most easy Ganon I've ever fought! I haven't finished the game, but I think that to finish it, two or three hours are enough. Game to fuckin easy. But the horrible gameplay make this game just impossible to play. So, even if I don't compare this game to original Zelda games, Zelda the Wand of gamelon is bad. There is just 2 good things good in this game. First, the musics. There is the opposite of the musics that you can find in classic Zelda Games, but they are actually not bad. Graphics are pretty cool too (Except the cutscenes :s). But it's not enough to make a good game.

Maybe you know this shitty game released in 1993 on the Phillips CDI. I've actually played this piece of shit, and while i was playing it, I had an idea. Why not make discover this game to RPG Maker forums? But instead of just make a written presentation and a link to download the game, why not make a parodic adaptation on RPG Maker? But make this idea true it would probably be difficult. RPG Maker can't do this kind of gameplay with its original functions. And i'm not able to do the same game.But it's ok because i don't wanna make a perfect copy of this game. So I've started to make this. And here is what you could find in:

Some graphics are rips from the original game, in particular cutscenes. The World Map(I've only put a part of it in the game) and the Status Screen are rips from the original game too. But on the other hand, maps aren't rips. Moreover, graphics are completely differents because I use some RPG Maker chipsets because to code the same Gameplay as the original game is too difficult for me. So I keept the traditional RPG Maker Gameplay.

About the Gameplay, as I said, it's the same as RPG Maker 2003,except fights, which are A-RPG. The Action RPG that I'm programming is basic, but i'm also trying to keep some points of the original game, especially the absence of recovery time. Other point of the original game that are in the game, to talk to NPCs, you have to hit them with your sword. To collect rupies and objetcs too. But I actually can't make the same shitty gameplay as the original one, it's impossible^^

A beta is about to be finished, but unfortunately it is in French. I haven't translated it in English yet because I still have some problems with the A RPG system, i'm tryin to slove these problems quickly to start a translation. But I believe that this translation will not be good, because as you can see i'm not a fluent speaker. I think I'm gonna give the translation to my English teacher who will be able to correct all my mistakes x)

The Music are the same as the CDI Game, because I love them. I can't beleive that a big piece of shit like this game can have so good musics.

Oh if you don't know the game,here is a summary of the scenario:

The Hyrule King left to fight Ganon. But he didn't come back. So Zelda asked Link to look for her father. But he also didn't come back home! So Zelda must go save Link and her father.

What a good scenario isn't it? And seems like there aren't any soldiers at all in Hyrule because it's the King who goes first to fight, and to try to rescue him, it's only Link who goes, and not any solider. And of course, it's the princess who goes rescue everyone. Fuckin realistic isn't it? Seriously, I think that is just impossible to do more basic and incoherent like this scenario. But my point isn't to criticize the game in this presentation. You'll see all in the game when you will get the download link, in a few day I think. I can actually give you the French beta, but I don't think it will be interesant for you. So here is some pics of the games:

Yes i tried RPG Maker VX. But to be honnest... The mapping system sucks. Events are cool, but the mapping system sucks so hard, it makes me shut down this and go back to 2003^^
