Interesting concept. You might want to add a black outline to your text however to make it easier to read when it's on top of certain background colors.

What I don't like about the first screen is
that sentences are broken up from one paragraph to another
like this which makes it annoying to read.

Well, it's up to you then but I can tell you that red font is really disagreeable (it's substandard to the other screens you've shown so far).
You'll notice that most (pro) games stick to a limited set of fonts for the sake of consistency.
EDIT: Actually, this is a matter of taste but that font for "A talented witch..." looks pretty bad as well. It reminds me of the font of the first Rogue like games of the 1980s. It just doesn't fit well with the rest.

1. The reflection of the glass isn't very well done and clashes with the jellyfish on the left hand side.
2. Like tardis said, big perspective problem with the green tank on the floor.
3. the fish looks like it's on the other side of the window pane, right where the character is. Try to make sure that everything looks like its behind the window because now it's a bit disturbing.
4. There's something off about the tentacles of that thing on the right. Just compare the top half with the bottom half and you'll see what I mean (that's nitpicking though although this is what got my attention at first).
5. The floor looks nice but the lighting is off. I'd be great it you could reflect the light from the aquarium on the floor like so:
It would create a great ambiance.

Looks like a promising project. I think there are about 1000 of fonts which would fit the ambiance of your game better however.
