I have been using the RPG maker 2003 since '05. I went from trying to make wacky DBZ games to fanfiction titles. Game ideas kept coming and going like crazy and for a while I couldn't stick to one game. I must've made 10 demos in the past years. Then I got a great idea for one RPG. This one in my head is original and long in epic proportions. I am still currently working on the script and have 50% of it done. What I want to make sure about the games I make is that they go beyond the limitations of the program and every year I learn more and more tricks to add to my games.
As for me, I am also an artist and a writer. I love to write stories and every once in a while, I post shorts on websites. That is why RPG maker is the perfect program for me. I love how diverse and unique one can make the games and how you can alter almost any aspect of it. I hope that one day I could help open more eyes to this type of gaming and by having that as my ultimate goal, I have discovered new ways to improve the RPG 2K3 experience. Whether they are new or not it has helped make my ideas come to life to greater extents. I have one BIG project I'm working on now but still make fan games on the side.

Zombie City
author=OverloadC'mon, guy... Every zombie game is good! Zombies are the most interesting monsters we have ever created.
So many zombie games, not enough aliens. Or a combination of the two.
SAWED
Here's a first one that might make things a little easier. Books, Paper posters, TV's, Engines, Lockers, and Computers are all interactive.

Player's imagination in RPGs
author=HoddmimirThat was the just the limitation for back in the day, you might as well point out the fact that they used pictures for levels. They do that Inn thing cause it's just what they're known for...why change it?
I agree with LockeZ on that particular seen. I don't think it is ambiguous. However, I do understand what you are trying to say overall I think. A better example is probably needed though. How about in Final Fantasy games when you stay at an inn and your health is restored and then you go about your business. Presumably you have stayed overnight but you don't see any passage of time. Or maybe something better than that is still needed. There are certainly things that we are just supposed to know and accept, and generally I think most games do that well enough even if they don't completely spell it out.

The Here and Now of Yesterday

This is what I'm talking about! :D
What? No demo? The idea sounds good though, hope we see more progress soon.
I'm new here!
Hi to all fellow creators and long-time gamers alike! I'm Ed and I just registered to this site. So, how do things work around here as far as submitting games go? I read the guidelines but don't know if spin offs are allowed. Also, I have a project that is 40 something MB and wanna know if it's still allowed. And of course, I'd like to know a little about everyone here. How are your games coming along, any pointers or any advice on anything I should watch out for?
