The right order is blue, red, green, yellow. The position of each orb is random but it doesn't matter, only the colors matter.

Sorry for not answering, I don't come here much anymore (this game is nearly 4 years old after all).
You can do whatever you want with the game and if you change your mind you can distribute your mods too, no problem.

Yes, defence works on all attacks.
Unfortunately for you, Utsuho's attacks/spells are non-elementals so you can't rely on elemental defensive stats.
Rinnosuke will sell atk/def bonus when you'll have 140 souls, and yes, it would definitely help you. You should focus on stages without bosses until you get enough souls, it'll make things easier.
