Hi Yeaster,
so it's like I thougt, the problem has something to do with my laptop and the file ist just fine. But the cause of all this is not so important for me anymore, I'm just really glad, that I can continue to play now. :) I like the characters and how they interact with each other and want to know, how their story goes on.

I'm already in my second try here. I have redownloaded and reinstalled the game and play it from scratch, before even coming to the forum and asking for help. I thought,
the whole thing with Zeroina healing until kingdom comes was a mistake on my part, then nobody seemed to have the same problem. I have no idea, why this happened. I have done nothing with the gamefiles, so that is not the solution, but what darkdreamer wrotes gives me the idea, that maybe something else on my pc interferes. Could my problem have something to do with the installed rtp? just a thought, I have played a lot of rpgm games but I know next to nothing about the different versions of the engine.

When I'm in this fight, the boss never transforms into his third form. He stays in his second form and just heals every turn. The third form, which I have seen in your video never happens in my playthrough, therefore this battle never ends and I can't play the game further. After more than 30 rounds like this I have shut down the game and tried the whole fight again with the same result.

I'm at the point after the first transformation. According to the guide zoraina will heal for ten rounds and then unleash a powerful attack on one of my characters. Unfortunately, the latter never happenes. Yes, zoraina heals himself but for over thirty rounds now. I have redownloaded and reinstalled the game and repeat that whole sequence, thinking maybe I have messed up somewhere along the way only to end up at the same point. I have no idea, why that attack never transpires in my playthrough.
I'd really appreciate some help.

There are games, which are worth to be replayed, can't argue with that :)
But my main reason for playing a game is always the plot and/or the characters. If none of this really grips me, there is no motive for me to finish the whole thing at all. That's why after one playthrough,when I know the complete story, there is not much excitement left for me, to go through the game again.
I think, it's lot more fun to discover everything on my own, therefore I mainly use walkthroughs, when I have not the slightest idea how to proceed. :)

Probably it has a lot more to do with the simple fact, that it always takes more time for me than for the other players to finish a game. :)
Because I almost never replay I try to see everything, there is to see in my first and only playthrough.

Looks like you have succeeded as far as I'm concerned. :)
When I saw that Island the first time, the words "dreamy" and "peaceful" came directly to my mind and I have already described F8 as somber.
To put it in a nutshell, "Castle Oblivion 3" is not only the longest RPG Maker game, I have ever played, but also one of my favourites.

Yes,that was what I meant - The atmosphere of those two places in comparison to the other floors and "surreal" was exactly the term, I was looking for.

Passage of the Hollow Moon is already the next game on my list, but right now I'm still in chapter 10 of FD2.
Atmosphere has a lot to do with detailed mapping and fitting music imo and is also very important to me. The atmosphere of F8 is rather depressing and somber in a haunting way, which touches me more than for example the absolut bautiful island in F4.

Concerning the atmophere I felt a rather deep connection between floor 8 and the oblivion realm, if you know what I mean - kind of difficult sometimes, to put my thoughts in words.
Maybe, that is the reason, why I like this last dungeon so much.
