Question...

Have you tried emailing and explaining all this to Protexis? They have an email address for like, support. I used it (back when I used rpg maker) to help with a problem I had once and they provided me with the information I needed, so they should be able to help you, too.

Actually, I just got my old XP activation thing back, from awhile back when I emailed, so it might take a little while. Think of it as storyline development time, I guess?

Good luck! ^_^

The Frozen World

This game's demo was the one that drew made me want to use ika in the first place, and this certainly doesn't disappoint, either! Awesome work, WIP! ^_^

Dragon Warrior/Quest monsters

^I agree, totally with the above statement! Well, the fave spinoff part, anyway!^

Dragon Quest is like one of my all-time faves, as are the two DQM games I've played (1 and 2). I'd never thought to look for a fangame, myself (and being on Linux, I'd have to install WINE to run it, probably...)

Well, if I find one, I'll be sure to let everyone know, and if I start a project of one (which is unlikely with me being on Linux, and ika still NOT being on Linux), I'll be sure to post it! ^_^

(Also: a fangame dedicated to slimes... like a fangame version of Dragon Quest:Rocket Slime? Actually, that could turn out pretty nicely... if it doesn't copy Rocket Slime, I mean. Good luck! ^_^)

ika and Linux

Okay, I've moved back to my ABSOLUTE fave OS, Ubuntu, but I realized I have no idea how to compile ika on this OS (or any other, to be honest, I downloaded the core/dlls before...) and I can't get anywhere now. I'm not changing my OS (again), so short of that, how would I go about compiling ika on Ubuntu?

a minor question about ika

This is a minor thing, but I still feel it to be important enough to ask: I switched between engines and editors for a bit before finding ika, but I need to know if I can uninstall .NET from when I had verge. Is .NET required for any portion of ika?

Thanks! ^_^

Heya!

Hi! I figured I'd introduce myself, that being the polite thing to do. I'm not very talky under normal circumstances, but I'll try to be as active as possible (rather than just be a self-announced lurker... lol).

I had been looking for a support site for ika, and then I stumbled onto this site, which seems to cover a good number of engines and editors. I tend to suffer a severe lack of motivation normally, but having found ika (as flexible as it seems to be, and the fact that I've been meaning to learn a programming language like python anyway), I feel like I can actually do something productive now.

Anyway.. I'm hoping to be able to post some of my finished work here at some point in the future (eventually... since it might take time to get used to ika and actually finish my current project), so I should probably get back to working on that! ^_^
