GX2PRODUCTIONS'S PROFILE

I mess around in RPG Maker and have fun with it. I'm not the best developer in the world as I am just starting out again. However, I know how to use RPG Maker on an intermediate scale. So I am not a total noobie. :)

Love in games

It really depends on how the love story is thought out. If it's a generic love story, then the player will probably go, "Been there, done that!". Add a twist to it where it ends in heart break where the love wasn't there to begin with and you will get something out of the player.

Tutorials on building better maps with limited chipsets?

Thanks a lot for the advice man! It's really a lot of help getting better. ^^

Tutorials on building better maps with limited chipsets?

I'm just wondering if there are any tutorials on the net giving good tips and tricks on building better maps in RM2k3 and up. I'm asking because the chipsets I've used on my project so far are well... rather very limited in resources and my maps looks open and bland. Which I can excuse since it is a joke game to begin with!

But for future reference and all, if there is anything on tips for better map making, I am all for it!

Is it wrong to do this?

Well I sent the guy who made the game a message. No message back in 4 days. Jeeze. What now? lol

Also don't answer that question... I'm only being sarcastic.

Yeah I was only able to teach myself to sprite because I knew a thing or two about drawing/painting. OTL

Yeah unfortunately, I've never been the artist. I can develop games and in a way build my own maps using other chipsets. But when it comes to drawing, I can never draw. I tried on several occasions and always ended up failing cause I just don't KNOW HOW TO DRAW! XD

I'M YOUR BOY!

I will hold you up to that my boy.

Is it wrong to do this?

I dunno which one is RPG Maker 2003, XP, or VX related! lol

created by DarkCrono for the game Abstract Paroxysm and chipsets and charactersets created by Gibmaker for the game The Longing Ribbon.

That's what it says in the credits.

Is it wrong to do this?

Well the game I downloaded that I was looking at did have credits in the folder, referring to what project the chipsets belonged to. So I may reuse those and just give the same credit to the people who made them in notepad when I release a game. That's if credit was actually given...

I do hope to one day make a RPG that is based off my story epic. But I already know that I am gonna need custom chipsets to do it cause the story is just damn epic as hell. I wonder if during my time here, I will find somebody who will be willing to lend me a hand.

Is it wrong to do this?

Well if you can give me any pixel tutorials that are useful that I can pull off in Photoshop, then that would be cool. It would be very nice to make my own modern sets rather then scroll through all the medieval sets that are a plenty of.

I'm not the best mapper in the world. Plus the utilities available to me in each chipset was pretty weak. :p
