Game slowdown [2K3]
A few other ideas on top of what's mentioned:
- There's not only parallel event which could suck out your CPU, it could also be that you have loops in some event, with some tricky condition to break the loop
- Look the common events as well, some could be triggered
- In your little map, if there's not too much events, you could try and delete each event to narrow the problem down (after having copied the map of course)
- Big Map are drying out your RAM in RM (any version), so even more if you have a poor RAM and especially if you have many other applications running. try on another machine and/or with all the application closed to test that. You could also check the RAM%age (CTRL + Alt + Sup)
- Check if you have many pictures manipulations
Well, that's it from top of my mind

The Fall of Gods
Yup, it sounds like a download issue
I've just tried myself it seems to be ok.
At what stage of the install have you got an issue ?
The file should be approx 137mo and it starts with easy installer,
then (if you don't have it already in your PC) It installs xna and .net redistributable
Then the game.

You're right, we thought it would be more efficient to keep up the good work on our side and proof-test the engine with a "real game", instead of buzzing and posting around, which could be time consuming
Now that the engine compatibility is working, I am ready to package Geex for non-coders ;-)

The Fall of Gods
Dude, I guess I was not kind enough to get Santa to deliver Geex under my Christmas tree :)
The truth is that I have a normal job and life, and this is only second priority. The stuff is there though (as you can see through the game), but I need to work it out to make it comprehensive and usable by human-beings :)
Also Truth is the website is reaallly old and not updated as we're working on a brand new one a bit less (hum) inconsistent ;-)
Also, we spent time in working on our own Editor instead of packaging the engine to makers
And Finally, it took more than I imagine to pass the xbox peer review process, same for Windows Phones....
That's why it's difficult to set a date, but my next review with team members will be on Thursday the 12th...will see

Hi There
The demo is built with Geex engine and it requires installation of .net and XNA redistributable. But after that it should be ok
I've seen some issues on some PC sometimes (as usual) there's no rule really (You know it's kind of a microsoft thing :) )
However you should have DirectX9.0c minimun, which is now pretty standard except for exotic/too old machines
The Game has an auto-update checker. Each time you start the game is may ask for server check to see if there's a new version or patch available, but it's not mandatory for the game to run.
Finally, there's a quick walkthrough on my website (www.geexpowered.com/games)
Enjoy

New Kid on the Block
Well, it's more like "I made" a Game Engine ;-)
The First game is ready for Download here (The Fall of Gods).
All made with RMXP and tehn imported to my engine (Geex) then I added some custom c# code and there we go
It's a standard old school arpg ... just to test the quality of the engine ;-) that's why it's available on xbox and WP7. I wanted to try the compatibility.
I am also preparing a second title called Hop and Pop (still made with the engine)

RPG Maker Translation
Yup, you could use Resources Hacker, it will allow you to decompile the forms and change names and a few more things as you see fit
However, you should not do it. Compiling-decompiling .exe is strictly prohibited by most license owners, including Enterbrain.
It's a breach of your rm license
"Pirates ye be warned" (for those who see the reference ;-) )

Hm I saw a html5 based Rpg Maker but this shit is new to me. Kudos!
Yup, I suppose it's a friend of mine, Samarium, excellent stuff html5 + cloud = the future :)
We're discussing porting from one editor to the other, indie Powa ! :)

Oh, and it you start singing those songs from the early 90s, of your topics namesake, you will be hated forever.
LOL
For sure, I will condemned myself for an eternity of pain and sorrow in the wrath of hell
I will create a topic for Geex most likely, I am working on a starter kit as we speak. Indeed so far it's kind of made for coders only, so I need to automate and simplify a few things before releasing it to the community
