Wow Beregon, thanks for taking the time to actually write a review! I am currently in the middle of translating the game to German and then make further improvements/additions.

Weird and Unfortunate Things are Happening

I really like the game so far. For what it's worth I decided to make a Let's Play out of it. Since it is my first try to record videos, it's probably awful and doesn't do the game justice. Also my English is terrible. But in case you are interested :)

Wow that worked! Thank you so much Marrend! I really should learn about all those script calls and what is possible with them. Is there a good tutorial about it somewhere? Beregon already showed me to a list of all available commands but I am just too overwhelmed to look into it, without any guidance.

Edit: And yes if you call it through the skill effect it always call it, thus my predicament.

Hello everyone,

is it possible for a skill that calls a common event that will increase a variable if the skill hits its target? (or if it is easier, that hits a specific actor)

Currently I am only able to call a common event which will increase the variable no matter what.

Any help is appreciated :)

Also Beregon, thanks for the nice words again! I am currently playtesting version 1.1 which sees an overhaul of every enemy and every boss, brings in some new skills and equipment and revises some of the old ones. I hope you play the game again when it is out :)

Deckkiller thanks for playing my game and giving such a detailed feedback.

The autosave not working is a bug first reported by Marrend and already fixed in the gamepage version. Sorry for that. If you die you can recover all light from the spot of your death, did you notice that? Stuns etc.seem to annoy most people, yet they only last one turn. For the next version I will try to make them more telegraphed and provide the player with more options to avoid them. As of now heavier armor provides more resistance to stun, which is not really told by the game though. I will look into the puzzle! Also Liberty told me how to make the encounters by steps not by timer so this will change. I will definitely look into the mapping. I am happy that you liked the skill/weapon system. Seems everybody used a different weapon on their playthrough (though no one bought one at the smith) and the knife is easily my favorite:)
I sure intend to improve the game and would be very happy if you would give it another shot in a month or so.

Also thanks for the review! I will take your comments to heartand look specifically into the puzzle and the encounter mechanic. Cool that you noticed that the game meant to be a DarkSouls hommage, means I at least got that right :D Sorry for the bug at the mountain though. I checked it and yeah the event there was off, sorry :(

Wow Gretgor, thanks for the awesome feedback!

The goblins seem to be a problem for a lot of people. I will look into it and general balance for version 1.1. Also did the LightRestore Event not spawn for you too? bicfarmer seemed to have a similar problem, but in my testing it always worked. I got a lot of suggestions by Liberty to replace the way Random Encounters are currently handled. I will try to make them less obnoxious. Currently its just a random timer and you can really get a lot of battles or no battles at all by the grace of RNGesus.

Thanks for the gracious rating, let's see if I can stamp out the problems and improve the strengths.

For what it is worth I uploaded a new Version to the gamepage that fixes several bugs. Most importantly a mapping error that prevented access to the last two bosses.
