hey this happens to me sometimes but I'm running vista. I wonder if the same fix will work.
Its worth a try! I just tested full screen everytime i lowered it a notch til it stopped flickering..Hope it works! Its no fun tryin to play someones games when you're at risk of having a seizure the whole time cause of the screen flashing and flickering all in your face.. >:(

So i solved this on my own..But just in case anyone else ever has the same problem:
Right click the desktop(xp)
Properties
Settings
Advanced
Troubleshoot
Lower the hardware acceleration til it works for you..I had to lower mine about 4 slots from maximum..And now no flickering at all during full screen playing on rpg2k

Screen Flickering problem
Quick question...
Im trying out some games full screen and the screen just flickers nonstop, especially at the very top of the screen, its like a little black bar that keeps flashing...
I have a Radeon X850 Video card and a 1GB of Ram..not sure if that matters or not but I know it never used to do this on my old POS comp..any ideas whats wrong or how I can fix it?

Heynow may I ask what other games you have seeing as you have this pretty old game? Also upload to Megaupload, no need to even register just zip the folder and upload.

Hello, My name is Ray! I've been messin around with RPG Maker since about 99-00. Seems everytime I start doin something worthwhile something happens to my computer or something gets deleted etc etc.
The computer Im using got a horrible virus about 2 years ago and crashed and that was that..I had been working on a project for about 6 months and thought all was lost. Just the other day I was able to pull my RPG files and all were still in good shape and my computer is up and running again. I've had a few ideas about continuing my project but am also thinking of just starting over completely...Still using RPG2k thought it about time to switch to XP. Anywho..I hope to actually FINALLY work and complete this project as its been revamped over and over since 2000 when I first started using rpg2k.
