Well, I've always had this idea...

It takes place in a world completely riddled with war and sadness and no one's happy at all because everything sucks. But then this goddess descends from the heavens and everyone's like "OMG a goddess we're saved! She's so beautiful and godly and stuff!" and she's like "Bitch, I know. Anyways, I'm gonna give you seven of these really powerful black swords whose blades can cut through anything and are magical and all that, and you should like, divide yourself into seven nations and the rulers should wield these swords and everything will be peaceful, but... there's one more blade, the most powrerful, see if you can find it!" And then they did ALL of that and everything was great but now they want the other blade that's hidden because power is great and they're, again, are at war and stuff, though there are some people who actually have logical minds and feel ripped off that this goddess promised peace but now they're just at eachother's throats again. Of course there's this unsuspecting protagonist who finds the hidden blade, though he doesn't know what it is at first and then that's where his story begins. The anime would highlight his and his party's travels across the land as they get into conflicts with the 7 rulers who have blades and they're not all just swods they're all unique blades, like one guy has a katana, another guy has a regular sword, another guy has one of those heavy swords, one of them has twin daggers, etc.
