I'm not voting Ebeth. I have a bad feeling about this.

But I don't think I could stop the rest of you. So someone else hammer it.

All I will say is that Jeroen made a pretty decent point that both mafia might not want to jump on a train, but if there was enough suspcion they could sling on someone the next day, I don't see why they wouldn't give it a shot, especially not if they thought they had most of town on their side.

However if he's right and Cap_H/Gourd can't both be mafia, then we need to pay attention to the votes today.

I don't know why you're certain he's town. But the majority of it has to do with the quote I posted and the vibe I've been getting from the two of them. Gourd's posts seem to me as though he's trying to look like he's participating in the thread and contributing to discussion with his own reads and takes on posts, but as I've said three times now, it feels as though he and Cap are being opportunistic. They've been quick to call things scummy but not act on it until recently. I think if Gourd were truly town he'd probably be posting a lot like Jeroen has been. I think its odd he's been withholding his vote until we're close to a lynch. None of its solid, obviously. Its just the best I've had to go on, and so I'm running with it.

If you've got some dirt on Gourd, that's one thing. But I don't think you do, and honestly if Cap was mafia, he'd still know there's no cop in play. Its not something I would easily rule out.

Personally I'm confident Jeroen isn't mafia. I don't know why you think so. I mean, the charts, sure I get it. Still he's been smart about his accusations.

If that's not mafia helping mafia I don't know what is. I don't know why one would phrase it like that. Its reasonable for town to be alarmed by it because laying down power roles early would be super weird, but I don't think anyone would feel the need to point it out that early. Cap might just have been messing around in the day 1 tomfoolery. It tripped all my alarm bells, I figured they must be in cahoots. Since then, they've seemed to be working together to push my lynch.

LockeZ, who do you think is the best choice for a lynch? At this juncture I think your opinion is probably the most vital one before we can make a real decision here.

I'm thinking about switching my vote to ebeth, but I'd also like to see what Isrieri has to say before I change my vote.

My advice would be to not vote Ebeth because I think Gourd is the better lynch for today. The most suspicious thing she's said was back here, mentioning that her plan was to hang back for day 1. That could be a mafia setup. But she voted me, and then took it back once I explained myself a bit despite that (I think) there was still potential to get a train going on me. So that's evidence enough for me at this moment. I've only played one game with her but this seems consistent with how she acted that time.

Calm down there, Ramsay. Its day 1 and a guy's gotta start somewhere.

Okay let me level with you all. I've basically got two strong scumreads today and that's Cap & Gourd. I don't actually know whether or not Ebeth is town for sure. Obviously. When I made my first post, it was all a gut read. When you're starting the day and everyone's hardly posted, that's all you've got to start with until someone starts making weird accusations or making mistakes. I just took it upon myself to get things moving and see how it played out.

Cap has been rubbing me the wrong way for a while since then for the reasons I've already stated. I think he's trying to play a subtle game. He's not making big accusatory claims, he's just trying to nudge people to be suspicious of A or B. So is Gourd. His posts come across as non-aggressive. He's asking simple questions and making simple statements with modest reads. That strikes me as fishy. They both thought I was suspicious too without really committing to it. Thus my statement before of being trigger happy without wanting to pull the trigger.

I've got two scumreads right now, and two strong town. InfectionFiles whom I don't really have a read on at this point. Demonlord who might be scum but I don't want to risk finding out today. Everyone else is soft town.


Now, all that said. I'm going to #cancel on Cap for now because of what he said before.

I wanted to see, if Isri claims cop. I tried to trick him there. I know for a fact there is no cop.

How does he know? He probably has a role. Which role? Dunno. Could be town, could be a Mafia Goon. The way I see it there are three possibilities:

1) He's telling the truth and he's town. So we shouldn't lynch him.

2) He's a Mafia Goon, which would allow him to deduce for certain that there's no cop, if there are two goons in play. He would know that having access to the scumchat.

3) Or he's lying out his butt. If that were the case, the Cop would know, and he's probably scum.


I'd prefer not to have roles be revealed on the first day, and I'm pretty confident with my picks because I feel they're the only two players on the defensive, and I'm getting vibes that they're trying to do a balancing act of defending/pressing one another - which I got from Gourd's statements on the last page. So I'm putting my chips on #lynch Gourd_Clae.
