Castles - Masterpiece Set Review
Instead of trying to make another game (because I think a lot of us are pretty burnt out and sick of SMBX) Why not make a contest?
That's what the first Masterpiece Set was supposed to be, anyway. A contest that would serve as level-making practice where we could come together and work out the kinks in our design styles. I just kind of forgot about it a fourth of the way through and the "rankings" just ending up being a mix of difficulty + stuff I liked.
But an actual contest might be pretty fun and quick and easy to run: You only have to make one level. No need for heavy playtesting or peer reviewing. Everyone and anyone can submit a stage. And we can get some judges together to give each level some scores and maybe a comment or two. Maybe even get someone who's never played a platformer to play all the levels and stream it or something.
...You'd just have to make it explicitly clear that it is a contest and not a game.

Random: If I use classical music, do I credit the composers? Say, Chopin or Beethoven?
I'm pretty positive that Classical compositions that old are now in the public domain. Officially, you do not have to credit the composer if that is the case.
You SHOULD credit the orchestra that played that particular rendition of the piece.

I'm currently contemplating on giving Megaman X6, 7 and 8 a try. They are the only ones of the series I haven't beaten/played.

Chocolate Remix is a bit weird, I can't tell if you were going for a gimmick or theme when it was just a mess of random enemy types and puzzles, just stick to like one thing
Bwuhh? It was supposed to be my favorite stage from SMW!
The Chicago Cubs have made the playoffs! Could this finally be “the year?”
I was there at the playoff game in 08, and it was close but no cigar.
If they actually win this year I'll eat my phone. But nope, there's no way. I don't believe it.

Finished a couple more. I think they're pretty good!
So far, I've only tried Pizza's first level and have yet to finish it. I'll give everyone else's stages a shot when I have some time.
