I miss them! Most I've seen on RMN's community page aren't even RPG Maker tho, like LGD which is unity or Shadows of Adam which is a custom engine I think :/
I wonder if people are feeling intimidated or something?
I kinda want myself to fund a game through indiegogo eventually.
It's pretty much the only way I'd be able to hire a scripter for more than scriptlets XD

It's either because of the other Kickstarter failures or people don't know/care about Kickstarter.
P.S. LGD went for Unity? GG, I thought MV was enough for them.

GLITCHED was also a successfully-kickstarted RM game, but has since dumped MV for GameMaker. Poor MV can't catch a break with all its big-time projects moving on to stronger engines.

Intimidated? Nah, it's just that there are way more better engines than RPG Maker.
I'd also guess the people making RTP Adventures and posting them on kickstarter finally realized that just gets them mocked and pitypennies and quit doing that too.
Yeah. I feel like a project needs to be significantly developed to get some good material for a kickstarter AND needs to have already used custom or purchased assets to replace the RTP in any screenshots or trailers before they should be put up on Kickstarter!
Maybe more people have finally realized that.

It's a good thing for all the bad games that in turn gave bad attention/feelings about RPGmaker and hurt serious developers who wanted to venture into that.
But sucks if it did intimidate said developers. :(

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Intimidated? Yeah. Running a successful kickstarter is, itself, basically a full-time job for several months. And then it has like a 2% chance to actually result in getting any money.

If you're looking for RPG Maker kickstarters, look at Americana Dawn, Rainbow Nightmare: Libra, Qui Domi... others.
If you're looking for RPG Maker kickstarters that met their goal, Qui Domi; otherwise, you're S.O.L.

There's also Labyrinthine Dreams as an example of kickstarted RPG Maker games that were successfully funded and completed.
