Yeah, that's why I didn't consider it a big deal. I save all the time so I was still near the desert when I restarted.
Btw...this game *feels* just like a Dragon Quest game, only I don't want to kill myself after playing it(dq7)...so it's a good thing, lol...

Whoops...I did encounter a problem, though it was an extremely rare one and doesn't warrant a patch or anything. I ran into the ghost merchant in a pincer attack. He couldn't escape and neither could I...had to click the x and start again...

You're both wrong; addiction can be physical or psychological.
Kinda sorta right...while addiction, itself, is a psychological term, the proper term for a physical "addiction" is dependence or physical dependence...
