I played the demo until after the battle against Vance and besides the typos, the dialogue messages are very slow and can't be accelerated. For a fast reader, it is extremely annoying.
On the subject on dialogues, there are a few problems, like "children" being used in singular or the word "trustable" used in place of "trustworthy".
Other than that, May's face doesn't change in seven years, that's quite odd.
The reason why I stopped after Vance is due to the fact that I did absolutely nothing in battle except attacking and eventually using First Aid. Even enemies only attack and with the high encounter rate, boredom comes quickly.
You might want add some variety to battles.

@Brent: Well, I'm still a global mod there and don't intend to leave. I just adhere to Feld's mindset that each site has a different objectives and this one is about games.

Thanks. Feld, as far as I know, is one of the few people to try to "bridge the communities together" and while I believe this will never work, I certainly respect the mindset.

Gamemaking-wise, I started in 2000 and made a variety of games that sucked so badly that I'd never dare putting them online, except maybe for the lulz - they taught me a lot though. I'm a big fan of JRPGs, especially game made by GUST, Atlus or VNS made by Type Moon or Nitroplus.

Yes, they are Mana-Khemia characters. I love Gust games and since I didn't have any character faces when I made all those menus, I used MK characters as placeholders.

Really Important Fix Needed
To put it simply, the problem when using event mode with the UMS is that the window's coordinates are re-calculated continuously. Since the cursor moves smoothly towards its destination, the coordinates change before it can attain it - hence the weird effect.
The only thing to do without a separate cursor implementation into the UMS is simply to deactivate the smooth effect and enable an instant cursor movement.
To do this, go inside the update_cursor method of your cursor script and add this:
