LDCSTUDIOS'S PROFILE

LDC Studios is the indie gaming company behind Grave Prosperity. Our vision is to bring a new type of gaming to the indie community in an old school kind of way. We want to escape from the realm of platformers, space shooters and top downs that the indie community is accustomed to and remind them of the alternative classic styles that have helped mold modern day gaming. Things like fixed view survival horrors and RPG style interfaces. We aren't "breaking new ground" here, but rather re-discovering an almost forgotten method of play. LDC Studios is big on classic survival horror, but also very partial to modern gaming as well. That's the purpose of our creation "Grave Prosperity" it is an attempt to blend the old with the new to form a sort of hybrid that brings the nostalgia of classic gaming along with the intense adrenaline racing action of modern gaming.
If our efforts are met with a warm reception, we intend to up the anti and step our creations up to next gen quailty to meet the industry standard while exceeding the public's standard.

Grave Prosperity: Redux- Part 1

You clearly have not played all of Part 1. So I'm not even going to entertain most of the rubbish you just typed out. If you had played it (or even just watched a full playthrough on Youtube) you would see just how completely off your entire message is.

You keep calling this a survival horror. No. This is action horror. Hence all the crazy action. Also, you may not be in the best position to say what is or isn't a waste of the VA's time. Clearly she thinks it's a pretty productive use of her time, or else she wouldn't have taken on the project. So mind you manners there, bud. You're stepping a bit out of line.

Anyway-

So look, I get it, you're not a fan. And that's totally cool. Not everybody is gonna be down with this style of game. But how about not coming onto my page and trying to compare my game to other people's? This isn't Cry of Fear, and it isn't Silent Hill. Those games have their own unique brand, and so does mine. This is what it is, and it isn't going to be anything else. Grave Prosperity is a 2.5 D game, and if you don't like that style of game then step out of the way, because plenty of other people still do and I'm making this game for them- Not you. Respectfully.

Just happened to stumble at this yesterday. You probably know about it already, but ... yeah. You might want to seriously reconsider one or two (dozen) things about the project now.

I hope the patch addresses your charming remarks.

Grave Prosperity: Redux- Part 1

Grave Prosperity: Redux- Combat Demonstration

That's hilarious, but you should see how badly gamers were being stomped by this game. Gotta show the many different ways to take down the baddies, even if it is 7 minutes of wailing on the same guy..

Grave Prosperity: Redux offered a chance on E3!

So at first I was thinking, "Ouch, man! That hurts!"
But then I read on and did a little clicking... Now I'm thinking maybe I should be taking this as more of a compliment? Haha, well either way, love the response and I hope to have your support!

Grave Prosperity: Redux- Part 1

Grave Prosperity: Redux- Part 1

author=shayoko
it says in the intro made using the rpg maker xp engine
but the page says Construct 2
???

Random thoughts based off demo ver

rolling does not work when looking left or up

obtained a key in the locker but it does not appear in inventory

keys are off its Q to open the menu (not W)
and is W to run (not shift)
quick menu is S (not C)
attack is C (not A)

firearm, endurance and melle have no proper lvl cap but agility stops after 2.
need to have a low cap. like 3-10

demo is missing
graphics/characters/Amber_Machete_R3
Amber_Machete_L3
Amber_Machete_D3
Amber_Machete_U3
AmberOFFICE1 RollBack_R
AmberOFFICE1 RollBack_D
AmberOFFICE1 RollBack_L
AmberOFFICE1 RollBack_U
PA08AmberOFFICE1 WalkStand

do enemies lvl up with you? i lost to a enemy i should not have

the endurance upgrade says you get 10% life regen. but you never regenerate health?

games a bit laggy during fights, the freezes :O

id say this has potential but needs alot of fixes.
i modded the game to reach lvl 50 with melle, endurance and firearm and still could do nothing vs the aggressive enemy :/ (not supposed to kill them? still running by is too difficult w/o taking dmg)
alot of files are missing too. theres also in my case lag spikes mostly during fights with enemies.

outside of that the games interesting one you start at that place. the beginning i didn't care for.
Sounds like you downloaded the old RPG Maker version from somewhere else. Yes, that version of the game is quite terrible and full of bugs. You downloaded "Grave Prosperity." The game on this page is "Grave Prosperity: Redux." This is the spiritual successor to the original. It's what the old one was meant to be, but could not be since it was made using the RMXP engine without coding.
If you want the demo for Redux, go to http://www.graveprosperityredux.com/ and click on the big green link that says "Demo"
Even then, that demo was released months before the final version came out, so it too is imperfect and missing important features that completes the experience. If you want the full version of Part 1 it is $1.99 on the website above.

This is a heads up for anyone who downloads the demo! This game only supports the controller! It cannot be played on the keyboard! Gamepad is ideal, but Microsoft 360 and next-gen controllers work too. Also, Sony should work fine as well, just keep in mind that the buttons are tuned to an X-Box layout (A, X, Y, B). Already had some play testers complain about this, but it is in anyone's best interest to play this game with a controller. Otherwise it would be like playing any Devil May Cry game on the keyboard (Probably not fun). This was a design choice to keep the controls as user-friendly as possible since the RMXP games' controls were their biggest issue.
