Hello everyone! :)
I'm pretty new to RPG Maker, and consequently, my eventing skills aren't very good. (Though I have mananged to create a half-decent cutscene.)
I'm using RPG Maker 2000, and I'm trying to put in the event that lets a player type in the name they want for a character. I've attempted this numerous times, but it just won't work properly for me. I would be very, very grateful if someone were to give me a (moderately) detailed list of the events I need to put in and anything I might need to type or map.
If I'm not being specific/clear enough, I'd be happy to edit this to put in more info about my problem if anyone asks for it. Also, if there's an incredibly obvious solution, I shall gladly bash my newbie head against my bedroom wall until I collapse on my bed in a dazed stupor.

I'm sorry! :'( I'm new and therefore prone to do moronic stuff. Okay, to clear it up. I would like to keep the game titled 'Crymson'. I would like the one titled 'Crymson Hood' to be deleted. I hope that makes sense...sorry for the confusion and for it taking me so long to answer. My sister had to borrow my laptop for a while because hers got busted and she needed a computer for school. Plus my internet's being a bit weird lately. :-\

Eh heh...I didn't know it had to be approved...I submitted it twice then...well, if one of them gets deleted, I prefer it would be the first, titled 'Crymson Hood'. The second was just 'Crymson', and that's the one I'd like to keep in the Games section.

I'm trying to submit the page thingy that has the 'blurb' for your game, screenshots, download page etc. A black box comes up, and I type in the name of my game, the production status, engine, blurb thing...then I click 'Continue'. But when I try to find it in the 'Games' section of the site, it's not there! I tried using 'Search', but no results come up! Is there soemthing I'm doing wrong????
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Custom charset...
Alright. I'm using RPG Maker 2000. I need to make my own custom sprites for the game I'm making. The program I'm using to make my custom sprites already has hair, bodies, clothes and body items pre-made, so all I've got to do is pick clours and bodies and heads and stuff.
My problem: The background colour for my custom charsets (from the program) ISN'T TRANSPARENT. As a result, those custom sprites all have opaque coloured rectangles around them, blocking out the ground, walls, houses etc. that the "rectangles" go over. Does anyone know of any way to turn these coloured boxes transparent?
This is my very first game. Any help would be greatly appreciated! =)

Don't worry! I'm actually a girl (hence, 'LadySeraph') and I know how offensive pornographic images can be, to both males and females. Trust me, when I say I would NEVER put anything sexually explicit in any of my games or forum posts, I mean NEVER. I'll be absolutely sure to warn people that my game has a homosexual relationship, maybe lesbian, if I decide to include such a similar relationship. I'm pretty sure I'm heterosexual, but I have absolutely no objections to any other sexuality. I would never portray homosexual/lesbian people as porn freaks or anything.
To make a long story short: I am mature. Just clearing that up a bit. =)

Um, hello. The question I am about to ask might seem dumb, but it's been bothering me a bit. It says in the Terms and Conditions that I'm not allowed to post 'sexually oriented' stuff. Does this mean I can't put in a game about two men who love each other, and talk a bit about their 'relationship' together? I'd like to make a game about two male lovers, but I'm a little scared that I'll be banned from the site or something if I submit a game with a theme like that. I'll make sure to warn people about such content in my 'blurb', if it's okay to post a game with such aforementioned content.
