Hi, I'm LaytonsGal!

So far I've made a game called Magical Machi, and I have some plans for future titles, as well as some smaller projects.

Some of my favorite RPG maker games that inspire me are OFF, Ib, Mad Father, Space Funeral, Yume Nikki, the Man series, Misao and many others.

Magical Machi

Poor Yuna.
It started as a cute little game about Machi being adorable, and Aki and Fumiko being adorable... and then turning a lot less adorable ^_^; But I really enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun!

One of the challenges was annoying in a bad way, though:

In the "spot the difference" challenge, I had a lot of trouble, because I counted five differences (the colors, the direction of the bunnies, the crack, the line under one of their eyes, and the leash), but the right answer was 3, which was the second-to-last thing I guessed.

Hey first off, thank you for playing!
Second, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it overall, and I do understand your qualms with the spot the differences puzzle. I think the hardest part for me making this was making the puzzles not insanely difficult but not too easy either, but of course I hope whatever I make next can have better puzzles.

Let's Play: Magical Machi (Good Ending)

I can easily say seeing someone play something you made is such a weird (yet good) feeling!
I'll definitely be watching these once I get the chance later today O:

Magical Machi Review

Ahh thank you so much for this wonderful review!
It really touches me that you did such a lengthy review and it means a lot to me.

I won't talk about every single point, but I do understand there were probably gonna be random spelling errors and some parts where the player might get stuck or something that I might have missed.
I'll most likely be trying to do an updated download where some of this stuff is fixed, so I greatly appreciate that.

Probably the biggest issue I knew was a problem that I was unsure of how to fix was resolution issues? But I hope to make that better in my next game.
Also yeah, I actually worked on art for this over the course of a year, so because of making improvements as I went some of the quality is a bit over the place, I agree totally on that. And I hope to make the quality more consistent in my next title as well.

Overall, thank you for this review. I'm really glad you had some amount of fun with it, and it's great to know the original assets stood out at least a bit. Thank you again and I'll definitely be looking back to this review for future reference.
