Guess I'm not able to see the "see the tree for the forest" :)

Love the game but this old gamer ain't getting very far :(

Already stuck...in the forest where you jump streams.
Can't jump the wide water and can't find a canoe or rowboat.

Anyone got a hint ?? :)
