That's cause the companies must live up to all the hype, and give the fans something good.
But I still want to play Brawl ASAP!
All of us do. I was a little annoyed seeing the delay initially. Still am. But considering the characters they're throwing us now it's pretty good compensation.
Technical Problem?
Not sure where this should go, so I figured I'd post it here. It's a technical issue that I'm hoping some of you have dealt with before.
I like to listen to the .midi files contained in the Chrono Chronicles game on WMP because, well, it's Chrono Trigger music. Anyway, I get home today, and it doesn't work? They won't even play through the database in RM2K3 or in the game itself.

Third-party characters in Brawl
No offense but anyone who thinks a character from the Playstation FF games (Cloud? Sephiroth? Get real) or Master Chief would appear in a Smash Bros. game, well, you're retarded. Plain and simple. If those companies decided to rip of Nintendo and make their own Smash style game, that's where you would see it. But Master Chief in Smash? Considering he's THE X-Box guy? That's be stupid. Besides, the FF7 characters are already in a fighter. It's something like Ehriz, God Save The Ring or something. There's a bunch of the characters in FF7 in that.
You could argue that since Mallow & Geno appeared on a Nintendo console, they should be allowed to appear in Smash. Same as with Mega Man. But Nintendo probably doesn't wanna anger anyone by asking them. I mean, "Hey remember that character that appeared on our console once, but is now owned by a completely different company? We wanna use him in your game."
That'll get over well.
Besides why are we debating which characters are going to be in the game when we should be complaining about it being delayed again!

Hey guys. Just thought I'd make another post here. I realize I haven't posted AT ALL since I introduced myself. My computer was fried for a few weeks and then I had to start college. But I'm back now so hopefully you can expect some to see some more from me. I can't wait to get my teeth into some of the games here.

Hey there all. Brand spankin' new guy here. And when I say new I mean "just registered for the forums" new. So like the thread says, allow me to introduce myself.
You can call me Matlock. It's my last name, a lot of people call me by that, so use it. I'm 22 years of age, hailing from the great white north they call Canada. Wayyy out on the easten side in the Maritime area. I quite honestly haven't been involved in the RPG Maker scene very much. I remember many a year ago I messed around with RM2K, but I had no idea what I was using, quickly grew disinterested and discarded it. But I did pick it and RM2K3 up a few years later and was working on a game but my attention span quickly got diverted to other things so I discarded it again. Actually the only reason I've managed to get into it is by sheer coincedance. I was looking at a Wikipedia entry for MUGEN (the popular fighting game engine, another hobby of mine) and followed a related link to something called "Fighter Maker". Lo and behold, from that page I found a link to ol' RPG Maker. So I ended up re-installing it, looked for some games to download, and then found this place. I have to say I have never come across a forum for the series prior to this, nor have I found a site that is actually UPDATED on a regular basis which holds games. I have to say I think I'll like it here. Of course I'm very bad with forums, a lot of times I end up just dissapearing. But hopefully that doesn't happen this time.
Oh yes, I didn't really say much more about myself. Well, I'm 22 years of age, I have a girlfriend whom I've been dating for about two and a half years now, and currently I'm finishing my degree in electrical technology and control systems. I don't know the actual name of the degree cause it seems like it changes every year or so. Anyway, I'd like to think I'm a nice guy. I can be a prick at times, but it's solely to get reactions from people. Uh....well, that's about it.
