Characters level up to a maximum of level 10. During certain parts of the story Level Up Events occur which grant each character one new skill depending on the choices they have made in the story since the last Level Up Event.

He's sliding down the edge of the cliff. The sliding mechanic changes in that Pengui is able to change directions while sliding down. Unlike sliding on a flat surface where he continues in one direction and doesn't stop until he hits something or slides off the ice, sliding down a slope lets him move from left to right while continually sliding in a downward direction.

The World Map in Pengui!. Every level is denoted by a yellow circle. Each stage has 5 levels followed by a boss encounter which is marked by a yellow star on the world map.
