RPG 20XX Engine

Just curious, but is this engine suppose to compete with XP/VX? Or is this just a boost to the capabilities to rm2k3? I'm guessing the latter. If it is meant to compete with XP/VX then what can this engine do that XP/VX can't? Also I read some where that you think rm2k3/XP/VX all suck, so what engine would you recommend to make 2d rpgs?
Not sure what your talking about. If your responding to what I said in bulk then I still don't know what you mean because c++ and pascal are programming languages, not game engines, though you can create engines using those. Unless you mean to make your own engine.

Stop sounding like you know something about what you clearly don't.
Please stop trying to antagonize me. I was not trying to belittle rm2kxx, I just didn't know a better way of wording what I meant. What I was trying to say was that this engine is for people that want to make games without knowing/using any programming languages.
Hope we can get back on track after this post.

I'm talking bout mode 7 effects, not FMVs. Also, I was asking how come you shouldn't be using movie files in game. I don't think the movie command needs any more functionality because it would be a waste because most rm2k3 users never use the movie command.

Will .avi's be supported?
How come?
I've seen it used in an interesting way to create 3d-like animation.
