Touhou - Wandering Souls
Hey! I'm still playing the game after all this time (finally 100%'d on Lunatic, took me 70 hours total!) and I've actually modded some few extra playable characters in (like Meiling). Not sure if you're okay with this (I'm not thinking about distributing any mods I make either way) but I kinda want to make new extra maps but this weird tileset thing makes it practically impossible. Could I get some help? thanks.
Edit: I spent more time than I should, but I don't need help anymore. This is a great game and I'm looking forward to all of your future projects.

Touhou - Wandering Souls
Hey there, it's me again!
I have completed this game on Normal long ago, and it feels SOOO good and I'm now playing on Lunatic (reached Nowhere Dimension already)! Though there is a certain unbalance in some of the levels, which are surprisingly, the first ones. Seriously. If you start a Lunatic/Hard game, you will struggle in the first/second level alot more than others.
Anyway, wish me luck! ^o^

author=Estheone- The item you buy should be available on all save files.
I don't like this idea, there will be no challenge left for those who tackle the lunatic difficulty.
Oops, I realised that Hard has the Normal item too, and Lunatic has Hard's and Normal's. Kind of messed up here. (And sorry for the double post, this site was very laggy.)
Btw, congratz on getting this featured!
Touhou - Wandering Souls
Certainly the best game I ever played!
Its engine is very stable, there are no bugs but you can cheat the game (you can increase the height of your jumps with the help of some skills).
The graphics, although ripped off, are in the perfect place and in the perfect time (except for the Yin Yang thingy, what the heck is that?).
The gameplay?
The settings are very awkward until you edit them (you might as well consider changing the default keyboard settings), but how you can jump, jump-dash, dash-jump, mid-jump, double-jump/triple-jump (see above) and make epic combos is very awesome and is what made this game awesome. However, I personally disliked how you activate the spellcards: If I press, say, the right key and instantly press space (B in the Joystick) it sometimes triggers the fire spellcard, so I hold both buttons instead. It's really annoying, seriously.
The environment and the music are also essential parts of this game's awesomeness: The backgrounds, visual effects, the danmaku, the music... It all makes sense and it all fits perfectly: the Forest of Magic's magic is present, the Misty Lake's mists are there too, the Scarlet Devil Mansion's devils are also there, etc.
Now, let's leave super-formal mode and focus on the storyboard:
In your free free time, you should considering adding a bit more storyboard when you get the 180 souls to unlock the Heaven (I honestly didn't understand where the heaven comes in the storyboard, other than "souls are there, so we should go there get them" fact) and more stuff when you get 200 souls*, just a simple item feels... weird...
* - The item you buy should be available on all save files.
That's it.
No, seriously, stop reading this, it's over.
Knock it off! >:(
