I was definitely influenced by both S&S and Hyper Light Drifter! And also the need for simplicity so I could get all the graphics done in a week :p

I'm honestly not sure what would cause them to not move. I'll have to go look and see if I can figure out what caused that for you when I have some free time. I'll let you know when I've fixed it. Sorry!

@Katie you can only jump on the platforms when they're raised to the top, they move up and down so you have to time it right.

There is an axe floating in the swamp. It's hard to see as I made the mistake of making the game way too dark, but its floating to the right of the bridge. You can jump there by facing it and pressing space.
I am going to write a walkthrough for this when/if I ever get around to updating it with better gameplay.
