Pssst, Veynn. Your short description/tag line of your game has an extra quotation mark at the end. I think you meant to either put one in the beginning or delete the one at the end of the tag line. I'm not crazy, I just wanted to let you know.

Oh, okay! In order to complete the puzzle you need to take the directions from we see starting from the writing on the wall.
Also thanks for telling me how to change the text scroll! I probably would've just put CTRL in and would've been confused as to why it wasn't working. C:

:O I didn't even know that! However, I didn't really think the pictures fit here so I removed them.
And thank you! I just realized that I have to edit some it >_>

..at this point, I'm almost positive that the "We see" sign and the clues in that room relate to getting out of there (ie: check the roses, then check the presents, then the door, then the presents twice, then... the "We see" sign?). So far, no success. I was able to find the Pocket Knife (which plays an error sound when trying to select it), and the Glue (which seems to be usable, but I don't see/notice anything happening).
Here's how you solve that:
If you check the other items around the room you will notice that there are directions. The clock is on the north wall. "WE SEE" isn't only a message, but directions too. ;)

*Edit: Another thing I'm noticing is that Shift is used as both a fast-forward button for text display and character movement. I largely suspect the use of Yanfly's messaging system for the former. In which case, I would suggest a different button to fast-forward text messages. I use Control, but, if you want a different button (such as one that's on the virtual gamepad), I could probably find the reference for you.
I didn't even know that was even a thing! I'll change it to control (making it run like a visual novel).
The Doctrine of Perseverance
author=FlareBlitzedauthor=NedrasI'll place a link to here and your tumblr page within the description of the video(s). ^_^
Not at all! Let's Plays are 100% allowed (even monetized videos), however, I do ask that you put a link back to the game or at least the tumblr homepage. :)
Other games of this genre don't allow monetising, so I just do it as a rule not to monetise. (I only do YouTube as a hobby, 0% financial profit). :)
Alright! That's totally fine. Just make sure you link the game homepage which is here. I'll make sure to watch your video as well! (I'm always interested in what people have to say.)

Oh it's okay.
I'm a fairly certain that it is something with Windows 8 and this laptop that is screwing it up so to speak.
I'll try to look into it more, I don't think there is something wrong with it on your side frankly o,o'
I actually tried looking it up (game.exe not running) and got a variety of results, but not many were similar to your situation. :/
Good luck though! :)
The Doctrine of Perseverance
author=TheCrimsonValleyauthor=NedrasI own RPG Maker VX ACE so I have never been needing to install that RTP.
You do have VX Ace RTP though, right? Because it won't run without it. >:c
You still think I need to do it to get the game going? o,o'
No, because then it is already on your computer. That's just so weird though... I want to do what I can to help but I'm not quite sure at this point. :<

I see you've updated your demo along with a new download link, do you have any problems with me performing a Let's Play on The Doctrine of Perseverance? I will put a link in the description to this page and you. :)

Hey Veynn! Good to see that you've posted the demo. The art is really great and the maps are nicely made! Noel is a nice character. I actually smiled at a couple of his lines because his personality is really like that of kuuderes and I enjoyed him overall.
The atmosphere was really nice. I liked the change of the atmosphere after a certain event. After the event though, and the thing after that (trying to avoid spoilers) is that the end of the demo? It left me sort of confused. But it is just a demo, so I'm sure there will be more it unless I missed something.
I do have some critique for the game though.
Other than those things I pointed out, I think that what you're making right now definitely has potential! I look forward to the full game!

1. As soon as I started playing the first thing that I noticed was the idle animation. The sprite looks great when walking, however it immediately turns into awkward when you stop walking. I'm really unsure why you used this animation in contrast to this one.
Another issue I did find was that if Noel walks down there is a small black dash on the top right. This can be easily fixed though.
2. I'm not sure if this is just me, but I think the window clashes with text. The window is really dark, however, I think if you lightened it up a bit, or even just made the text bigger, the issue would be fixed.
3. The space is really limited the first map. I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to walk behind the pillows even though there was a clear walk way. Also Noel is standing on a chair in one of the paths.
