First off, I'm sorry that you're having issues with the game! When I get home I'll take a look at the file to see if I packaged it wrong or if it's something with the game itself (probably the latter).

Well crap xD. I wrote in the descriptions (outside of the game) about who is who but didn't quite elaborate this in the game. Lafayette (boys name) is Melrose's half brother.

Melrose isn't necessarily being treated horribly, it's just that she doesn't like Josephine. Their relationship gets worse as the years go on. This wasn't clear in-game which probably left you confused (and rightfully so) so I'm just going to tweak some scenes! Also Josephine is Melroses's stepmother.

As for the adoption papers--Dace adopted Melrose, Suzetta, and Silas. (not necessarily as the same time.) Dace is also Melrose's godfather. I put that in the description, but it's probably not quite elaborated in game so I'll make that more clear.

The new mapping looks really nice, but honestly I kinda liked the old artstyle better :P

You gotta admit though, her cheeks look a lot more pinchable now.
