Well I'm a first time RPG maker user and is just Interested in everything that has to do with game making. Scripting, music editing, mapping, sprite creation, everything. I don't however know much just trying to learn as much as I can. Using RPG maker VX ACE, and with that hoping to make good emotional games, I'm a video editer so I'm trying to make my games like a movie with of course game play. Hopefully it all works out.

Can anyone please explain how to do a side view battle system

I've never used a side view battle system before so I can't offer any experience with it. However, a quick google search brought up a few systems you can use:

I haven't bothered to look at the code for these, but just by the screenshots the third one looks a bit too complicated for you since you're still new. Just posting it for reference. The others also don't seem to require any special battle sprites or animations or anything. I'd suggest installing one of the first two and learning to use those. Good luck with everything. If you really need some more help with it, I'll take a look at the script you decide to use and see if I can help out more.

Ace is quite new, thus there are not a lot of scripts for it yet compared to XP and VX.
I'm pretty sure Tankentai is what you're looking for, though. I don't have a link off hand, but it's a set of scripts originally for VX, and then they made another version for Ace, that gives you a megashitload of new options for the battle system.
That's what i'm looking for and yeah everywhere i've look it talks about this Tankentai i figured it to be a script.

Can anyone please explain how to do a side view battle system
Hi i'm new to all this but getting by okay with all the tutorials and stuff, but i can't seem to find the right script for the side view battle system. I'm using Ace, so maybe that's the reason or maybe i'm doing something wrong. Oh and also need to find batters to make the side view battle system to work i guess?? Can anyone help me please??
