[RM2K3] Rpg Maker Maniacs Patch (for official version)

I'm really interested with this patch for RPGM2K3, but I need to ask you if it supports OGG audio, so we can finally loop the music like in actual versions of RPGM.

I would like that to be a reality, since the only way to loop audio in the official Steam release is with MIDI audio (Harmony and DisHarmony patches don't work anymore).
Yes! supports .OGG files

Hey, thanks for the quick answer! I've already tested it, and I have to say that this patch is amazing. Now I can use high-quality music with RPGM2K3 without worries about the loop points or the MIDI and MP3 audio.

[RMVX] Help with Glitchfinder's Gamepad Input Module

I was looking for a script that allow my projects to use the XBox360 controller without any configuration through the F1 Properties menu. If you try to use one, you can only configurate the main buttons, but not the Joysticks or D-Pad controls. The, when you play the game, you can only move your characters or commands through menus with the left stick.

I think I found the best script to solve that problem, the Glitchfinder's Gamepad Input Module, but there's a problem: this is only an scripting tool, only for those who know about scripting. When I use this script and the Input DLL inside my project, the only thing which works is the green light from the gamepad, and nothing more; the gamepad controls are the same as the Properties menu configurations.

I don't know too much about RGSS2 or Ruby in general, that's the reason I need your help here. I need to make the XBox360 controllers working in my project with predefined controls.

Thanks in advance!

[RM2K3] How to use and loop OGG audio files?

author=Mirak
Oh that. You need to download the latest version of Audacity. If you give me a few minutes i'll give you some step by step gifs on how to loop it.

Thanks, I already have Audacity installed and I know how to do loops inside the comment tags (with LOOPSTART and LOOPLENTH). The last time I tried to use them in my 2k3 project I used them but the loop didn't work. The music repeats from the beggining.

That's the reason I need a full tutorial for use the patches and the OGG files.

As far as i know you cannot use ogg files on the new rpg2k3 (steam version) since it isn't compatible with things like dynRPG, but i might be wrong.

You cannot patch the program, but your projects can be patched without troubles, as I know. I even tried the patches in a empty project and you can use OGG audio instead of the default WAV and MP3. But what I need it's a tutorial or instructions to make my OGG files fully working, with loops included.

[RM2K3] How to use and loop OGG audio files?

Well, after a few hours looking for tutorials, information and other kind of help, I'm almost lost all hope to find how to use this patches, specially for the looping audio functions (I consider it essential for every game).

So, I need a lot of help here. I have the official English version of RPG Maker 2k3 through Steam (that means that I cannot use the Harmony patchers with the program), and I'm trying to patch a project in order to use the audio loop and OGG files (I have some problems with WAV and MP3, and also I don't want to use them).

My questions here:
-What are the patches used for this?
-In case it's possible, how to use OGG in my project?
-And the final question: how to loop them?

And please, I need the details you can give me about this.
Thanks in advance!

At the end you could learn to use the Mountain Tileset. The game progresses very well, I see. I hope you can finish it soon.

Actually there is no "middle" tile that loops on that tile set, so the mountain edges are fine, but there's nothing to fill them in with, you know?

The middle of the Tileset is there, but it does not work like in RPG Maker. There are three sections of "middle" tile and they works in group of 4x4.

It is more difficult to handle than normal tilesets, but but not impossible.
I hope you have been helpful.

And thanks a lot, Oscar. That will come in handy.

You're welcome.
