Well, given that I'm on this website, you're probably safe in assuming that I use RPG Maker. Notable VX Ace. I've yet to finish any projects, but the one that I am currently working on is called Cinericus. Though it's still in the developmental stages, I'm hoping to release a demo eventually.

Realistic Difficulty Curve?

It's simple. When you create a video game, at what level do you want it to increase in difficulty?

I usually like for a game to be relatively easy for the first one or two *large parts* (dungeons and things of that nature), then increase in difficulty. As far as RPGs, I like when you have to grind in order to make certain fights less hard, just so it's not an entirely linear action of going through the story.

RM2k3 chest help

I have the chest completely made, and it works. However,since I have it set to say "It's empty!" if you try to open it again, it 'faces' the player, opening itself to a different level. How do I make the event not face the player?

(RM2k3) Small graphic design request.

So, in my RM2k3 game, I have all of the tilesets, charsets, and music I need. All I need now is battlechars and facesets.
I only need four battlechars, which I'll describe if anyone's up to it.. As far as facesets, if I can get them for the main heroes and villains (which should only be one page each), then that'll be perfectly fine.

[RMVX] Making a sprite fade rather than just disappear?

So, in the common cutscene where someone kills another, how do you make the sprite fade away instead of just disappearing altogether with the change sprite graphic command?

What makes a game's story memorable to you?

As the title suggests, what aspects of a game's plot make it particularly interesting or memorable to you? Is it the characters? Does it need massive plot twists? Anything else?

For example, in a game I'm currently designing, it takes a turn for the entirely opposite direction about halfway through. To you, is this a beneficial aspect, or would it harm a plot?

This is not a request, but I will use anything anyone says in here regarding story design fundamentals to help craft my game, and I encourage anyone to do the same. :)

So I've been using the Famitsu character generator. It there a way to have a charset only be for one character, or do I have to manually copy and paste it into a charset?

RMVX Vampyr SBABS Script Help

In the enemies tab, in the notes, you type what the monster icon is. I have no clue how/what to change it to to get the soldier.
