Zelda: The Trident of Power DX

Back in Sandoria (after completing the Ice Palace) there's a girl on a bench that complains she doesn't get to see her boyfriend enough. I saw in a Let's Play that her boyfriend was a soldier outside the castle but he never appeared there in my game. It was in Spanish so I didn't understand much. He gave Link a black necklace and he returned it to the girl and they reunited getting some award that resembles a peapod lol. Did I miss something to trigger this event?

First you must talk to the guy who is in the basement of the inn. What you saw is part of the Love Guy Sidequest.

Well I gotta say a I had a blast with the game(Got Ending A). As someone who plays a lot of Zelda Classic quests, it was neat seeing what you managed to do in RM2k3. Some of the hit detection felt weird (especially with the Moblin Fortress boss), but I like how complicated a lot of the later fights were.

There was something I was wondering about though:

I saw at the end of the game that I had 14/14 Sidequests completed, but I wasn't able to save Irma. Is the locked door in the Ice Palace right before the boss room tied to saving her? I went to the elf who gave details on her earlier sidequest, and she mentioned that it might have been possible to help her.

Regardless of that, I had a lot of fun; I hope to see more from you in the future!

Great that you have completed the game! If you give me the time play of your game, I can add your log to the Zelda ToP community discord.

Btw, the Ice Palace room you say opens with an extra key from the temple and only takes you to a Piece of Heart. Regarding Irma, everything that happens to her is part of the story, it can't be changed.

What Sirael mentions in Sirion is related to the theme that the DLC I'm working on will have. Yes, Zelda Trident of Power will have an expansion! It will be released in a few months.

Version 1.01 update

Can I use my old saves with it?

Yes, just copy all the save files from the Data folder (there are a lot of files, so make sure you copy them all) and paste them into the 1.01 folder.

The main thing is a small improvement of Spin Attack.

Can someone make a list of the locations of the heart pieces and silver fragments i have spend hours looking for the last one of both in Snowpeak thanks

Snowmen can be burned with the lintern. Outside Sirion there is one hiding a Piece of Heart, and somewhere in Snowpeak is a Silver Fragment.

I couldn't make it to the Zora and Goron domains, though. Is there a sidequest I'm missing?

Go to the big house in Kakariko Village and talk to the respective leaders.

Zelda: The Trident of Power DX

Great that you are already getting to that point in the game. You are close to the end!

- The Hyrule Castle title card thingy says "Caslte" instead of "Castle", might wanna get that corrected.

Thank you very much, it's already corrected

Zelda: The Trident of Power DX

Yes, it was indeed a mistake from me for use characters that are not universal, but I can't change in this game.

A lesson for future projects.

Zelda: The Trident of Power DX

Try extracting again the file RPG_RT.exe (inside the Data folder). And run the game from the same RPG_RT.exe

Every time I try to open the game, I just get an error message and I feel it has to do with the Spanish accented letters in the file names, but I'm not sure. Any advice?

Ohhh, exactly, possibly at the moment of extracting the files of the .rar all the words with "accent" were changed.

Try to change your region settings and extract the files again. If you check the game files (Data folder), no name should have Japanese symbols xD

Mind Industry impressions:

Positive:
- The atmosphere and style are awesome.
- Once you get the hammer, exploring the rest of the dungeon becomes very satisfying.
- Interesting dungeon mechanics and puzzles.

Negative:
- The back-and-forth action in this dungeon, where you have to constantly backtrack to the power source rooms to turn the power on and off gets old quick.
- The teleporter maze is a slog because the teleporting animation is too long winded.
- I eventually realized that, up to this point in the game, no enemies make a conscious effort to aim at you when shooting their projectiles. This makes them way too stupid to ever pose a credible threat.
- Okay, this is probably a coincidence, but one of the passwords is 1488. This is just a coincidence, right? Please tell me it's a coincidence.

Overall:
I think it's a good dungeon. It's got its problems (cited above) but overall it was interesting and engaging.

Thank you very much for your impressions. And yes, the password is just a coincidence, in fact, the password is random. It's different in every game state.
