And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)
hoy, im Psychoskull, known elsewhere as "Frankie Smile Show"
I am an amateur pixel artist, and specialize in animation. (see my work there: http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/4628.htm?pg=1&sec=icons
Ive been trying to make games for quite a few years now, and only finished one, Sluggy's Adventure ( http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/114/ ). I got three other playable projects hosted here, chekk em out.
(Coincidentally, Erave here, starter of this topic, is the one who provided most of the music for my only finished game. Yay Erave!)
I'm into quite a variety of different design platforms regarding games, notably Game Maker and flash, and I also know C# and a little of Java, a hint of web scripting, and of course GML, the scripting language of Game Maker.
I can design web sites, though I don't have much to show in this area except my own personal website here (its empty of content, pretty much just a fun layout): http://www.frankiesmileshow.leafo.net/
Now about myself, in the arrogant thought that it might interest anyone:
My real name is Francis Coulombe, 19 years old, from Quebec, Canada, live in a quiet little suburban town called Varennes. I attend College Édouard-Montpetit, and passed 4 semesters in computer science, before switching next semester for multimedia.
I am a proud atheist, a gamer, my first language is French and my spoken English is pretty bad, I read Sci-Fi novels (exclusively from the horribly huge German series Perry Rhodan) and like progressive rock.

Suggestions...
(first suggestion, I suggest this topic be stickied for all people who have suggestions! :D)
Those are very humble suggestions, I never ran a website like this so I don't really know a lot, but anyways!
1- I suggest that in the game panel, one can "edit" a screenshot and a game download instead of only adding or removing them. Editing would pretty much just mean deleting the one selected, and replacing it with another, and the other ones' form is already filled with the information of the previous one.
(unless we can already do that and I didn't notice we could? if it is the case, maybe make it more obvious...)
2- I suggest that people can also comment on games instead of just write whole reviews. Comments are short, maybe one or two phrases. As reviews are larger and all, most people get an opinion on games but wont feel like writing an actual review; the comments will be just right for them...
3- I strongly suggest you give more room to game submissions, perhaps even showing random screenshots of recent games in the main page: screenshots will grab the attention of passing visitors, and might make the difference between a quick visitor and a new member... Thats not to say to fill the main page with images, but just at least show a few. Maybe like, show a random screenshot of the latest game, plus the screenshot and title of one random game somewhere else.
dats all folks! lemme know what you think of these ideas! This site looks extremely promising...

Putting a lil string of games up!
A suggestion, we should be able to edit the "game platform" and "game type" things...
(I made a mistake in one, called it action RPG... at the third submission form you tend to forget a few details!)

Heya, i'm Psychoskull, people from GamingWorld might know me. Im putting up four game projects on rpgmaker.net. Two old ones, and two new ones. All have playable demos, one is a full game, all made with Game Maker (which seems to have been forgotten by the designers here? For some reason Game Maker doesn't show in the drop down box of the submitting form...)
All the visuals of these games are original, except the clouds in the first game, and the ground in the Alien Agriculture game, which is just a placeholder graphic I grabbed from stock images.
Sluggy's adventure (Early 2004, finished)
http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/114/

Sluggy's adventure 2 (2005, cancelled)
http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/115/

Sluggy's other adventure (In production, temporary hold)
http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/116/

Alien agriculture (In production, temporary hold)
http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/117/

Sluggy's other adventure is currently on hold, because I realized my lack of funds is jeopardizing my next college semester, so im grabbing a few odd jobs there and there till I get more stable financially. (the said projects are for profit, so I wont post them here. But if you want to know, its flash games)
-edit-: added the links to the corresponding project pages
