yeah, all non rtp stuff for 2003 I got from there.

Yes, it's a play on how Ash always got physically abused by the thing, and how it would work if the shocks were fatal like they should be xD

Episode 2 has more pop culture cameos, 3 went overboard but eh, it's definitely the best one =P
