REDLEGEND'S PROFILE

Hello, I am RedLegend and I am very new to this sort of thing, but I can at least say I have a fully completed RPG Maker project I've been working on for 5 years. (Just needs some grammar fixes and polishing).

Anyways, I am 25 years old, 175cms tall, like pizza and I am very interested in game design and writing stories for them. I enjoy a variety of games (Mostly Nintendo ones) and I enjoy making them just as much as playing them.

I am hoping to expand my knowledge of the RPG Maker program (VX and VX Ace currently) and become more defined as a designer.

Chris's Sunshine Adventu...
An oblivious hero embarks on an adventure he knows very little about.

How to Play?

Due to the fact at this time, there is no in game tutorial that
functions correctly anyways, I will be posting a tutorial right
here in what you are about to read.

First things first...

Controls:
Use the Arrow Keys on your keyboard to move the characters in
the desired direction... pretty straight forward.

Use Space Bar to interact with objects, confirm a selection in a
menu, and advance through dialogue during cutscenes.

Use the ESC key to open up your main menu, from here you will be
doing a lot of things such as saving your game, learning and
managing abilities, using Items and even checking your current
status of characters and progress.

Note, if you are playing Version 1.0, you will be able to save your game
anywhere, THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO BE IN FUTURE RELEASES. I left this in
the game as the game has a tendency on my computer anyways, to stop
responding after extended periods of play. This is for you as testers
to find comfort in keeping your progress, I ask you to please, do not
save mid boss fights or under water. You'll just ruin the challenge
for yourself.

Battle System:
Okay so, here's where things get a little in depth. You will have 2 basic
commands starting a fight. You will have Fight and Escape. (Escape is very
Rarely used within this game.) Once you select Fight, you can choose Saber/Blaster
Passive and Items.

Saber/Blaster (This varies depending what is currently being used)
This will open up your list of abilities and what key to press to initiate them.
How do you initiate them, they are greyed out!? Ah, I'm getting to that.

Simple, Select the Combo Skill to bring up a window where you can now
push the respective keys to use those greyed out skills you wanted to touch.

In this case, we have;

Q-Saber
w-Blaster
A-Kick
S-Reflector
D-Recharge

(This even pops up to TELL YOU what each key press will do.)

Now that you're this far, you can choose 4 of these in ANY order desired and even
the same one if you like it a lot! Just remember, each of these abilites will
cost MP which is regained by you guessed it... Recharge. So my recommended combo
for beginners goes something like D-Q-W-A or even D-Q-Q-Q. It sounds a lot more
complicated then it is, I promise it's not that bad.

Special Attacks:
You don't start with any, but you learn them from finding Gems from various enemies
or treasure chests. When you give Biggle (Traveling salesman you will find almost
everywhere) these gems he grants you GP, which are Gem Points.

You can spend these Gem Points through the Skills menu on your main menu accessed with
the ESC Key, and select "Learn Skills". You will now be brought to a menu where
you can spend GP on any move you desire to learn. (If a skill is greyed out, you
can't afford it.)

Now you're probably wondering, What makes these attacks "Special?" Well, hear me out.
These are moves you can perform additionally to your standard 4 action Combo
(The Q-W-A-S-D one) allowing a powerful finishing move that uses TP instead of
MP, so no need to worry about MP for this one.

For example, Chris learns Double Slash from the Learn Skills menu discussed above.
Written in the description for Double Slash is "Combo D-Q-Q-Q" So...

This means if Chris presses those keys in order during his 4 Action Combo, he will
perform the Double Slash Move as a 5th attack at the end of it, provided he has
enough TP to unleash it. (TP is regenerated as you take damage and perform the
basic Q-w-A-S-D moves) If you don't have enough TP, the move will not be performed even
with correct input, so patience... you'll more then likely get it next turn!

Leveling Up:
Throughout the game you will earn a currency known as "Bitz" and with these Bitz
you can purchase all sorts of things within the game. Such as Items, Trinkets, Boosters
and What!? Yes, Magical Leaves that upgrade your characters stats, permanently.

Both praised and frowned upon, your characters do not get stronger from ranking
up in Battles. Instead, you should treat the Bitz you earn as experience points
as well as a currency. Bitz allowed you to purchase stat upgrades from Biggle to
use on any character you want, and any specific stat you want at any point in time
in the game. This allows for complete customization over how you would like to
build each character and what attacks you would like to specialize in, whether they be
physical or magic attacks.

Here are the stats and what they do;

HP - This is your total amount of Health, lose it all, and you're dead.
MP - This is your fuel for your non special attacks, use recharge or potions to refill it.
TP - This bar only appears when you've learned a special move, it also can't be upgraded.
ATK - This effects how much damage you do with physical based attacks (Rods,Sabers,Axes etc.)
DEF - This reduces how much damage you receive from physical attacks. Higher the better.
MAT - This effects how much damage you do with magic based attacks (Elements,Blaster,Spread etc.)
AGI - This effects the turn order of a battle and power of specific special moves.
MDEF - This reduces how much damage you receive from magic attacks. Higher the better.
LUK - This reduces your chance of being inflicted by adverse status effects.

Upgrading Armor/Weapons:

Another method to getting stronger in this game is upgrading your equipment.

This, just like exchanging Gems and Buying Stat upgrades, can be done at Biggle.

Although this time, you will have to use Pick Axes purchased from him to mine
certain rocks for various types of ore to upgrade.

When you try to upgrade one of your weapons/armors, there will be a window telling
you what ore and how many of that ore you need to get to be able to upgrade it. Very
straight forward, there are no tricks here. If you get what it tells you, you get the
shit(The upgrade). If you don't, too damn bad.

When you upgrade a weapon, it`s color will change and depending on what weapon it is,
it will receive a % bonus to your stats.

Example
Saber +0 = 0% to ATK
Saber +1 = 20% to ATK

V-Frame +0 = 0% to DEF
V-Frame +1 = 20% to DEF 5% all magic resistances.

Trinkets and Boosters:

Moving on down the equipment list, we have Boosters which can have various bonus
effects such as +30% ATK or Regenerate HP or even Double Bitz earned from battles.

Boosters are not upgraded or even created, instead, they are found most of the
time and very rarely are they sold in shops.

Trinkets, on the other hand, are sweet accessory items which are purchased from
certain shops to allow characters the creation of Items or other handy buffs
through the Passive Skills menu. Don`t wanna spend money on Healing Potions?

No problem. Buy a HP Potion Trinket and slap it on a character, they will use
MP to create the item even outside of battle just by simply acessing the Passive
Skills Menu. Can't go wrong with that eh? Very handy for last minute preparations
for an intense boss fight when stuck in the middle of a dungeon far from a shop
and low on supplies. Trinkets can be swapped in an out through the equipment menu
as the player pleases. So no harm in buying em all for any situation!

The next section will be an Q/A for anyone with questions and once I answer, I'll
post them here so I don't have to answer the same thing a million times and have
my brain explode:

How will Sunshine be distributed?

Great Question, currently at the moment via Skype. Add me up at Sunshinechris9.
