I finished FFXV. I don't think I've ever been so amazed yet disappointed at a game, ever.

I felt that way about MGSV. I've been thinking about buying FFXV but I'm afraid that it might disappoint me like FFXIII did at the time. Do you think it is worth the money after all, despite its disappointing bits?
They're planning to patch in some extra cutscenes and story bits for the main campaign. As it stands now, the story is extremely vague and the second half of the game feels very unfinished. I'd definitely recommend waiting 'til they fix some of this stuff before you dive in.
Yeah, I haven't played it yet, but it very much sounds like "If you're just in it for the road trip, then you'll like it, but if you want story, you'll be disappointed." The fact that they're willing to patch-in more plot is something, at least, but it really sucks for people who have already played, in my opinion.
Hmm, good to know. I'm in no rush to get the game... I imagined it would be good and bad at the same time like the FFXIII games, but not in that particular way.

It's the other way around, actually, but I can't really elaborate without spoilers.
I finished the game last week. I don't think a game has ever made me cry as much as this one. I'm sad that it's over. :(

This is what will sell me on the game.
I hope that's the case. I cried at various points during FFXIII-2.
I humbly take back my premature judgement of this game, haha.
