I've always enjoyed playing JRPG's and I haven't seen any good releases lately. To help sate my desires I've picked up the RPG maker and perhaps I'll make something that's worth the time and money I spent!

Favorite RPG story and why?
All time best.. Bioshock because its main story was superb and the game's atmosphere pulled you INTO the story, and really made you feel how mad everything was.
Most fondly remembered on console/pc is Morrowind, and on handheld Golden Sun: The Lost Age.
To be honest I don't need an exposition anymore when I play a game. I love being thrown into a new environment and finding out which way is up. And what makes the characters "tick" through interactions with them.

Maybe to someone who owns a program with similar capabilities. I actually found $70 really worth the purchase because of how much time I'll spend using it. %50 off was a great deal! It seems like alot others thought so too RPGMakerVX Ace hit #13 on the steam top sellers list that day.

I don't remember where I got the original image but I found a cool PNG of chat bubbles. Unfortunately I didn't know how to use them because they weren't in animation sized frames for VX Ace. So I made some!
They work really well if you wait 3 frames between swapping images. Also if you use them to make an animation make sure the image properties on each frame is set to "normal" otherwise the engine blends them to look transparent and bad. Just thought I'd post these before I passed out it's 5 am here :o
Edit: I now realize how dumb this was, because there's a command for using the default emotes, but hey these show up differently so not a total waste.
