Bonuses versus Setbacks
I think it depends on where you are at in the game. If you are in the beginning having setbacks could punish the character early, why figure out the mechanics and power of magic if one of your first equips drains MP and lowers the effectiveness of magic? The player shouldn't be punished for experimenting at the beginning of the game. Later on is when setbacks should be applied more, by then the player has a feel for the game and has developed a decent strategy to how they battle (Magic everywhere? Berserk and haste like no other?). Since everyone is going with pokemon think of it like that, at the beginning you have scratch, growl and ember. These have no setbacks and lets the player go with what he wants, sooner or later setbacks and more effective attacks appear, you then have to make a strategy based around these moves.

EVIL
Evil is defined by the current societal norms in our world, what could be evil now may not be considered evil in the past or present. Also having a definition that works for everyone is not likely since people have different values and ideas. Example: Slavery is basically considered to be bad in America but some time in the past that was not the idea and was used often in the southern states. Also in other parts of the world slavery still exists. Now back to the question at hand.

Action 52 VX - 24 Hour RPG Maker Throwdown
Party Size
Alright so I'm making a game and I notice that I have all these for characters, that is when the quesiton popped up. How many is too many characters? Does it change the game? How? Can the aspect of more/less characters be used to make the experience better?
I'm not too savvy with games but the first two examples that came to me were the first dragon Warrior/Quest and Final Fantasy X. Final fantasy brought the aspect of having seven characters each with unique talents and abilities that brought something different to the table, if it was your first play through odds are you rotated them around alot. However the the Dragon Warrior/Quest only gave you one character. You beat the game with the same person and he had all the skills you needed.
So I guess what is your take on big/small parties? What feels right for you? What are good cases for having X amount of people in the party?
Just curious...(Hope I put this in the right spot)

if they gave you credit and whatnot its legit but from what you are saying you can get them to tear it down. Just PM the admin saying you are willing to take legal steps in the process and contact the person incharge of the board creation. That usually gets them to drop it.

I'm a mathematics major in my school and I enjoyed hanging out and playing around. Maybe if I can get some of this stuff set in stone I'll showcase it!
