What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Working at Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (3DS) in my spare time, as well as Dungeons of Dredmor (PC), Digimon World Dusk (DS), and La Mulana (PC). And the folders of rom hacks, freeware games, and games from here that just keeps growing.
What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
I'm trying to work on the plot, enemy list / design, and general map concepts for what was originally a joke fake screenshot that I am contemplating working into a full fledged fangame.
This is an image of what would be part of the climax. Robotnik has captured the party and they have to find a way to escape to stop him from taking over the world. The idea I had was to have a Big Damn Heroes moment where some people that they helped along the way to this point come and help them, but another possible idea was for a Big Damn Deus Ex Machina where one of Robotnik's more powerful creations goes berserk, breaks the wall of the prison, and sparks a spontaneous boss fight.
It would probably resemble this guy and be fought as a three part boss, Main Body, Left Arm, Right Arm. It would be possible to kill it without destroying the arms, but it would be a lot easier with less Heals involved.

Sad/Worrying Moments in Video Games
In general, when a character suffers loss or death I quickly feel miserable, but specifically when Aeris was murdered in Final Fantasy VII I didn't feel sad. I felt angry! Cave Johnson angry. How dare that #### Cutscene Kill my healer? She wasn't the innocent person many people depict her as, but she wasn't a heartless witch either. She was just a messed up woman in a team of messed up people who loved nature while living and working in a city that makes Victorian London look normal.
Chrono Trigger, virtually anything and everything. I swear, that game was half Tear Jerker, half Crowning Moment of Awesome/Heartwarming, and half Cosmic Horror.

Hello Kentona, thanks for the welcome. Hah, maybe. I am enjoying them and so far all the games are very good.
Adon237: Dudesoft, that name sounds familiar.

Under-Rated Games People Should Play
I recently came across an old SNES game called "Brain Lord" by Enix (pre-merger), an Action RPG in the vein of Zelda.
It feels like a crossover between Zelda and Final Fantasy with a heavy focus on puzzles. The bgm is nice, the level layouts are great (and I swear there are eyes in the walls spying on me), and I keep finding new puzzles. The combat system is pretty straight forward and there are more than one dungeon so once I finish this quest for dragon scales, I'll be able to move on to presumably even bigger places. Mind you there is a "Warp Home" item so you can skip the long walk back and within the dungeon itself there is a statue that warps you to other ones you've touched which makes backtracking easier if you needed to pop out to do some item shopping.
One really nice feature are the Fairies. Think of Navi, strip away the annoying voice and constant 'help', and give her the powers of a Phantasy Star MAG. You get Slow Heal, Attack Fae, Boosters and who knows what else. Bit of fair warning: there is limited inventory space so you can't buy like 50 healing items lest anything you find fit as well, let alone your equipment.

Thank you for the welcome, Goard. Interesting avatar. I can tell it's stylistically based after Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Yes, I downloaded Star Stealing Prince. I just woke up and played a little of Lexico again (accursed third room climate...), but I promise I'll try SSP sometime today.
Tau: No banging. We can party, we can rock, but no bang.

Hello, I'm SladeJT and I just recently discovered this site. I'm amazed that I didn't find rmn sooner as I have been actively searching the internet for freeware games for the past year.
I'm a former Art, current Theater major. I love to draw, I enjoy fantasy and science-fiction literature, I love to play games (otherwise I wouldn't be here now would I?), and roleplaying with sane/serious groups. I've so far only created one game and it was through Ren'Py. I have however downloaded 40 completed games from the site, which includes "Hero's Realm", "The Reconstruction", and "Hellion". Although I am enjoying "Lexico", I'm stuck partially due to freezing and mostly due to mistranslating glyphs and general confusion.
I'm never really good with introductions as I tend to ramble and then stop from petering out of ideas of what to say. So... uh... I'm hitting submit now.
