My Problems With Making RPG Games
Try and keep it organized as you go and use comments to label things.
I found myself quitting a lot of my old projects because it simply became so disorganized I was wasting time just looking for that variable I used, and stuff like that. Also, if you take a break and come back your not struggling to remember where things are because it will be organized and labeled.

Custom Menu
post=201131post=201098Why?If it works the same way, and its way easier if it is made in other map...Why would you make it liekt that? :o
shows pictures over the map
If you are referring to making a menu in a separate map as being easier and just teleporting to it, then yes it is easier to program but it also can cause serious problems in your game. There are pros and cons to each method. Mainly, if you teleport to a new map for the menu and teleport back to the map you were in, all events are reset to their default position.

i can open and close the menu now, but the cursor keeps messing up
It is impossible for us to know why this is happening based on this information. Also, the best way to learn to make a custom menu is to actually understand the commands you are using and play around with them.
Liberty jumps on the LET'S TRY wagon
Good job Liberty. Love the accent and your very cheery when playing. Keep it up, I'll be looking out for your next game.
Also, Tiamat Sacrament doesn't seem like that great of a game. I can't imagine it being the "best game on the site"
*edit: (so as not to clutter up this topic with a bunch of off-topic debate) The game has nothing special about it to be "best game". I'm not saying its a bad game. The story seems good and some people look for that, but with all the games on this site there has be something very unique about the game to rise above the rest. This just looks like another mediocre RPG with a bunch of little "problems" and annoyances.

Custom Menu
Do you still need help with this?
Do you want to make a menu that shows pictures over the current map or a menu that rests on a different map?

Help with CSS
I wasn't sure where to post this.
I know a little bit about HTML and I searched for tutorials on making a CSS but I'm wondering if there is anything already posted on this site somewhere that explains it? Would CSS be different for every page? Like on the game page the text is centered and the sides only show the background, does that mean you have to specify pixel ranges if you wanted to, say, put a different image behind the middle part?
All I really want to do put a background image on my game page for now. Can anybody provide a template or something where I can just replace the part about the background image. Is there anything specific to this site that needs to be identified in the coding?
The online tutorials are just walls of text explaining every little detail and I would just like a simple explanation of how to get just this one thing done, please :) Thanks

Best Avatar on RMN contest please enter your nominations
Is this an actual contest or just a "post your favorite avatar" thread?
Cause if this is a contest the winner is already starting to become clear
*let the avatar stealing begin

Picture formating problem
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XYZ_file_format
also from another site:
The XYZ file type is primarily associated with 'Graph Coordinates'. A number of CAD programs work with .XYZ files which are comma delimited text files containing just xyz coordinates of points in space. The free program DXF2XYZ converts a DXF file to an XYZ file. Some other 3D scanners also use this format. RapidForm Free Viewer may be able to view them.
I had always wondered about .xyz myself. Now I know.
