Oh, those canons! (I just rewatched the video) I thought you were talking about the things shooting bombs at the end. Sorry to say, but now I think it was an even worse design choice xD that has been fixed. I understand that part.
Oh, duh, I didn't watch it right the first time.. I even got all the coins and bumped into the canon's. But no flash means no pickup.
You could have prevented me from going down, or block it so I need to grab the canon now to move on, or had some canons at the place they are actually required.

There is the element of losing the powerups on the other characters on game over...wait is that the case or am I just remembering something that isn't there?
Still, I think giving the player a lot of lives right off the bat is a good thing. Same with free shrooms right away.

Wow...the life glitch in Pipe Platformer is a huge oversight on my part. New platforming rule: pits are to be nearby enemy spawn points.

Yeah, at first I figured "Good, no game overs". But I hardly ever died in the first 3-4 worlds, so it turned out I didn't really need to do that. I would have probably got enough lives naturally. At some point I stopped attempting to get RMN coins because I was at 99 lives already, but I guess in general I stopped fully exploring everything and was focused on finishing the levels.
Thanks, I had some good runs in this game so far. Some fancy footwork, and some colossal blunders haha I usually play stoned and I get in this zone where I am one with my controller xD and sometimes I can't do anything right. Especially when I start hitting the harder stages, things get interesting. Keep watching.

Also, all three of jack's clown car stages ended up in SRB3's bogus bonus extra end-game world that shouldn't have existed.
That might explain why I don't remember them. I don't think I spent much time in there. But then again, the whole game is a blur. I don't even remember my own stages.

I actually went back, after recording the video, to that tutorial section but it didn't help me figure it out. Since there were no flashing cannons to be seen.
You changed that stuff after saying it was my fault and that it wasn't a bad design choice. It wasn't my fault and it was a bad design choice. All that stuff rested on your shoulders, never mine.
I don't accept that it was my fault for not seeing it before. That's all. Had I played the level now, with the changes, I would have figured it out.

You made a level dependent on something that very few people have experience with. That stupid clown car. There have been like 2 levels in RMN bros that used it, and it didn't require anything beyond moving.
I made at least 3 (terrible) levels based on shooting with a clown car in RMN Bros. 3

haha Yeah, I love trying to take that boot as far as possible. There's a better one in RMNB3, I think, where I take the boot through a stage with many ladders.

You made a level dependent on something that very few people have experience with. That stupid clown car. There have been like 2 levels in RMN bros that used it, and it didn't require anything beyond moving. You even give a clue, that doesn't even hint about using cannons. You said I could crack them, or something, which leads me to believe I can ram into them and break them somehow.
On top of that, you chose to put an impassible wall that requires the player to find something that you've camouflaged. It wouldn't be so bad if that wall was only blocking a secret.
Many times have I seen things denied or changed because it's inconsistent. In one of my past levels I wasn't allowed to make trees climbable because no other trees are climbable and that might confuse the player.
You can do whatever you want cause you're in charge, so you change those those cannon's so that they aren't the established, and consistent with everything, flashing color. Which would have made it instantly obvious. And somehow it's my fault? I spent more than enough time trying random things to quality as "exploring my options". Why would I try and explore the option of jumping out of my car and heading towards the bomb generators?
