Hard to tell how much it changed without seeing the old one, but it does give less of a burning feeling. I would want to see it in action to critique it any further.

Too much red. Try toning it down and make it a little more orangeish. The sun doesn't make things look like that irl. Well, maybe on Mars.

That chest seems out of place facing the wall like that, also its showing on top of that wooden edge that surrounds the room. Same with that poster at the top. I guess that depends if that wooden border is supposed to be the top of the walls or not. That bag(?) on the left is half cut off..I think.

His text needs a background(unless its something else that is fixed already?) Not impossible to read, but the grey on grey hurts my brain.
Is that a comma after Caroline? I think this sentence has too many commas. I'd say it should be two seperate statements. One about the morning. One about the dog. It looks like the "I do say" part is applying to both statements.
