I have no clue what you mean with your rainbow shell example. The upside-down ones behave like normal shells, except you can't hurt yourself with them.

i think he's referring to that trick where you ride the invincible rainbow shell. you jump on it a certain way and ride that bitch over anything.

kicking the shell up is a lot like shooting fireballs in an upward arc or holding a fireball above peach's head. they are new to smbx(i think they all are) and most people don't know they exist or even press the buttons in that combination to ever figure it out.

there should be a tutorial at the start of every smbx game that shows the player how to do all the smbx special moves.

this is an earlier attempt that worked better at the strum line than what you see in the other video. after I made changes it got all screwed up somehow.

this is how offsetting makes it appear to match the songs timing. not ideal, but at least functional and easy to play. could probably even use another picture on top to make it look normal. the idea is that you will hear the riff first, then have to play it.

I'd start by trying it with coordinates(for the rope) and terrain ID.

Ever try sfxr? It takes a while to learn how to get the sound you want but it's good for short oldschool sound effects.

Yep! I have recordings up to um, world 5 I think. Just gotta encode and upload.

I've been doing a lot of work making levels lately and I could use a short break to finish playing this game. I will most likely review the game, too. I don't agree much with Killer Wolf's, even though his score is high and mine will be as well.
