Scarlet Skies Review
author=skaraflameauthor=RoyFeck, really? I've looked through everything, can't imagine what's happened...
NEW version.....and lets see.....save bug fixed?...........nope!
Didn't you play test it? How could you say it was working now without even trying it out? No wonder your game is full of bugs.

author=seiromemauthor=apa649Lemme guess, it's partner's in prime? I made one fatal mistake in that level.
I personally hated only 1 level in world 1, and even that was only due to it's level breaking bug.
Going up not to the right >.<
But the Ninji Moves so slow it might not of been a good idea anyways.
that level was great. i beat it on the first try and thought "how can anyone have a problem with this?". it wasn't too long at all, although i might have made the ninji move slightly faster. also there could have been more interesting things to do as you climb, and that one where the ninji had to get to the edge only to hit the block and have to circle around again? i thought that was just a waste of time.

It's really unfortunate is that SMBX players that can play with two people are so rare. It is really fun and I wish everybody could experience it :(
Seriously. We had so many funny random moments of bouncing off one anothers head with perfect results xD The split screen can be a pain sometimes but overall a unique experience only matched by the Wii game. On a good level, I find SMBX multiplayer to be more fun.
Super RMN Bros. 3 Review
Well, most times if you just imagine what it would be like to play 2 players you can figure out what the problems could be. It's not easy, but partially possible.
One example, if you gotta use a propeller block to beat the level, make sure there is 2. Same with Yoshi and Boots.
Most of the time it's special events/layers that break down in 2P mode. There was a level in TT2 where a giant wall of spikes is chasing you. My buddy went in while I stayed in the first room. When he died, I went in and leisurely walked to the end.
Also, if there are a few different people testing, one of them could ask a friend/sibling to play the level. Most don't have the luxury, but some might. If you state outright that it doesn't matter, people won't even attempt to test it.
I don't think making it 2P friendly is jumping through hoops. It's just making some basic preparations to make it more likely to support 2P. If you overlook one small thing, it's not the end of the world. When one person dies they can just let the other guy go through alone.
There was one level in RMNB3 where you were forced to be peach. I went in as Luigi and I couldn't do a damn thing. Even when I died and came back in another spot. It was full of long gaps that only peach can float across. If there was a propeller block, or some other means of transport, I could have gone too. Oh, and OMG the hub world is so 2P UNfriendly it's not even funny. I found it very annoying that I couldn't choose my character. As 2P, I couldn't get into that area with the power ups and character blocks. My buddy had to collect and drop so I could collect and I was stuck as Luigi cause one of the levels forced us to be M and L. If I can't beat a level as Luigi, I want the option to try it as Peach or whoever.

It's too bad production of the SMBX engine was halted. We wouldn't have to work around the limited features.
Super RMN Bros. 3 Review
I think it would have been better to not require any secret stars to beat the game. That's how I thought it would be, optional. I knew it would be a pain to get some of my secret stars but I though "hey, nobody's forcing you to find them".
I was wrong.
But I played more of RMNB3 and TT2 today, and I can see the problems emerge. Some of our levels shouldn't have been included or at least toned down. There were some good concepts, but they were indeed poorly executed. Some TT2 levels, while pretty, were kinda boring(to me). The only reason they were somewhat fun is cause I was playing with a friend. The bumping around and general 2P hijinx offered up some laughs.
I can sympathize with this review a little more now.

author=AncientNoobauthor=Link_2112Perhaps because your levels started around world 4...
I gave up reading around world 4. What a silly review. Thanks for the makerscore, I guess.
Sorry, you walked right into that one :P
Ba-zing! :D
I said around world 4, I honestly don't know when I stopped reading. I did scroll through to see what you said about my levels. At least you had some good things to say about them. But really, I've only played up to world 2 so I can't compare all your thoughts to mine. When I do play all the levels I will be coming back to read everything and comparing. Just for fun.
I wasn't trying to be hostile towards you or anything, just saying how much I disagree. I have no doubt that my taste in Mario levels is not the norm, so I'd disagree with most people.

haha wow, I can't even begin to express how much I disagree with your ideas of what a Mario game should be(but naturally I will anyways). You make a few good points in your ending statements that I agree with, but man xD This is a prime example of why you need to be careful who you work with on a SMBX game.
I'll agree that for my levels I did go a bit over the top. If I was making my own game I would be a little more conservative. I see these events as a chance to try something different and I like to see something different from other people.
I guess since I'm good at Mario games I don't die as much as you seem to have, so I don't have much trouble with these levels. I like water levels and throw backs and gimmicks and RPG elements in Mario games. Mostly because standard Mario games don't really have them and are kinda boring to me because of it.
You started off by saying it's subjective, but then you present your opinions in a way that comes off as objective. It's cool that you took the time to write it, but I gave up reading around world 4. What a silly review. Thanks for the makerscore, I guess.
