TUCKER'S PROFILE

My name is Ryan, I live in Canada. I don't really make games anymore but I still like to edit, update and play around with my Animal Crossing fan game. It's probably the most ambitious I ever went with RPG Maker and it was quite the journey!
Animal Crossing: Old Pal...

I have changed the dialogue boxes up a bit to make it fit better, I still don't think it's perfect, but seems a better fit. I also reverted back to regular font for easier readability and it just looks neater that way.

I often find myself lost. I find that because not every map leads the direction I want, it can be hard to navigate. I didnt know if on your map, you could add an icon for where your player was? Also why every edge didnt lead to another? If this makes any sense. Still a great game, I just struggle to get around.

Quite awhile ago, but the newest update addresses this issue, I took in account feedback and you were not the only one to say this. Now the map tells you where you are.

Uhm well, when I did make the edges all events I got massive lag, I'm sure I could of worked some kind of Map X, teleport thingy. if you pause and unpause, you'll see your current acre in the left bottom corner, simply look that up on map, or by landmarks, it's grid, so it's pretty basic. Also you can unlock bridges at the Post office, they can help get around easier, as theres more spots to go over the river. Also to navigate to a new map simply look for the dirt path marks, they indicate a teleport.

Thats pretty heavy rain. Looks cool, why is that tree lit up?

Oh yeah, I assume you mean the tree to the above left of the player, that has a Lantern on it, they are there at night to help light the way, No one knows who puts them up.

I like how you named someone poepoe...as in police?

Nope thats actually a Villager's name, the names you see are the Villager's you start out with.

those XP graphics clash BADLY.
Meh not really but those palm trees are removed.

Black on white clash, this is more of grey on white.
Chewbacca is a wookie?

I don't follow... You misspelled Wookiee? Do you mean I misspelled Bass? Cause Bass is also a fish, and "Kiss my Bass" is a corny Animal Crossing Joke.

Thanks a lot guys, this is what it begins to look like after a long heatwave xD

This screen was an early dev screen so that map I'm pretty sure changed quite a bit, same with the HUD in the corner there.

Map_Screenie.PNG

Yeah, an Acre. Like Acre a-1 for example.

It's a very detailed map, the trees are the green dots and it's very accurately represented. Same with the water and buildings and rocks.

Nice rain! Is it the default RMXP effect?

Yep it's default, but theres a script used to make more rain sprites on screen, also the environment is edited to look wet when rain moves in. I used a tileset replacement script for that and made a rain version of the tileset.
