I liking New UI. It look really Sleek.
Maybe it just me but sunlight in Field map i think it looking too bright.
Hmm, I can always tone it down a bit. Thanks for the input!

Depending on your OS, you may need a file extension like .ogg in the end. But for the most part, you don't have to.

I may have found out the cause of that.
Go to audio > bgm and find Dungeon 5. Rename it to "" without the quotes. Try loading your game again after.
It may be compressor messing up the naming so RPGMV couldn't load the file, since it's being used for that particular dungeon. I tried it and it worked.
(And it got me a bit aggravated lmao!)

It's pretty much a hotfix, so most of the bugs I encountered, including yours, and some others have been patched.
On the issue of saves not loading, make sure to include your config.rpgsave and global.rpgsave in addition to importing your save files.
If that doesn't work, I pretty much have nothing else haha. By the way, do you have discord? If so, you can contact me in real time when you find something in the game. It's much less of a hassle that way!

I am stuck now in the underground tunnels at the boulder riddle.
I managed to go through the left side somehow but after defeating the bandit the next boulder won't move to the right.
The right side is not doable either since the boulder get stopped by a bandit.
Glich: When leaving the girls toilet you stand under the TV-screen to the left. (1st floor, left wing)
And in the conversation at the beginning of chapter 2 Aya speaks "obssessed". Remove one "s".
Thanks for the finds. I kinda forgot about the boulders lmao.
And don't worry about the typos for now, they're handled by my proofreader for every 3 chapters haha.

Charging is essential for survival because it halves damage. Syou explained this in the battle tutorial and it should be taken advantage of unless you feel like you can survive a couple of hits without guarding.
Defeating the demon is extremely easy if you just put your mind into it. Try to utilize Juirl's recovery spells, especially "Relent" (Which recovers your HP by 10% for 10 turns).
Kain also has a skill called "Rangebreak" which reduces all enemies' defenses (significantly!) against ranged attacks.
The demon only has 2000 HP so if both characters have a full EX bar, you can instantly kill the demon if you debuff it with Rangebreak and use both EX attacks in one turn.
And if you feel like Juirl is going to get OHKO'd, have her be a heal tank by charging every turn, keeping dibs on her recovery skills, but more particularly "Relent", while Kain can do all the attacking.
The EXP rates are natural, especially if your stats increase drastically per level (And I'm talking about stats that go over 1000 in high levels). Though if you wnt to level up quickly, fast-paced battles are possible if you do a preemptive strike against enemies. Just use a lv.3 AOE attack immediately and the battle will end as quick as lightning. Also, rare enemies sometimes spawn, thus giving an additional EXP boost.
Loots are also fine because of the "Fortune" system. The more fortune you have, the more common loots drop.

Hey thanks for the feedback!
EDIT: Oh I see the problem now. If Kain finishes talking to all of the people, a switch will cause those two to become stuck. I'll fix this immediately. So if you want the play the intro stage for now, talk to those two first, and then the rest.
EDIT 2: You can now download the patch to fix that minor problem.
If you can continue the intro stage, a battle tutorial will explain to you everything about the battle system (and different types of attacks!) I use and as to why charging is very important. But since you didn't really get to play the intro stage, you missed out on this, so I think this probably impacted your thoughts about the battle system.
2 NPCs, a woman and a mustached man, are uninteractable, rendering me unable to continue the prolouge.I find it peculiar that you can't interact with the woman and the 'stached man in the intro stage, because me and a couple of guys didn't have any problems with it in our test run. I'll have to see what went wrong with that. Try playing the intro stage again and see if you can talk to them both.

About controls for running, I prefer running is available by button hold, not by one press mode switch. Is there any option for that, though? Able to run is very welcome, though. That's what I had it initially, but putting it as that will make the game lag for some reason (probably because it conflicts with the massive parallel processes I have in my common events section), so I changed it to tap to run.
I find it difficult to navigate who I control! With the chaos and party leader KO = Game Over thing, I got mixed with other party members. The best if I only control the party leader, avoiding chaos. Is this thing fixed to RM2k3's battle system? The battle system made me don't have time to appreciate the battle sprites, as well, with the chaos all over there... If it does, forget this part...I was hoping this would add some more difficulty and challenge to the gameplay, because you now have the burden of protecting the party leader at all costs, but at the same time, keeping your team in tact through your own actions. I really wish you can only control the leader, but 2k3's limitations prevent that. So yeah, to sorta balance this "chaos" out, recovery items and skills (minus revival items/skills) are all-target.
To a plus, while enemy is acting, I can't move my cursor, hindering my reaction.I can't do anything about this either. I think I've read somewhere before that DynRPG tends to make that pause happen during enemy attacks. So unfortunately, you're going to have to stick with it.
Did I found that in EX Mode for Kain raised his ATB charge speed? It didn't happen to Juirl, however. Is it only available for Kain, or it hasn't been implemented yet for Juirl? Did I notice that Kain's HP decreases gradually in EX Mode as well? As I play further, seems that it's unique to Kain alone.Yes it's unique to Kain (Both story wise and gameplay wise). I won't spoil anything though as to why he's "berzerk" whenever in EX mode. c:
The basic is to make sure Flow is enough to do... just, the most effective thingsNormal attack is actually very effective against some enemies. (Like the bees in the forest. They die in 1 hit xD)
available. With Flow is set to 0 each start of any battle, seems it makes Charge too essential for survival. Not to mention the normal attack is very weak to near useless compared to other skills. Most of the tactics are just about to effectively use what's available.

Is the construct thing still in development? I have no idea of it's use. Or merely lacking available skills to construct? It's complete, and to unlock more of them, you're gonna have to use a "Skill Module" which you can obtain (Many ways to get them too) as you progress through the game. Right now, there's no way of getting the modules (Unless you've tweaked with the game using test mode).
So much Touhou tunes. No, I don't offend this, really :) Just... After knowing it, I cannot unhear it... I'm interested to know which Touhou albums you pick for the game :) No, more like, pretty much is from shmup games. I notice BGMs from Cave games.I'd list them all, but that would take me a great amount of time... XD
Oh, about where I got stuck... After opening the door at the Kusanagi cave, there's a path further that teleported me back to where the door is.Yeh, you can't really progress any further than that, which marks the end of the demo. (You may want to go back to the Murasaki Residence though... ;D)
However, shouldn't the enemies' pattern gain more attention? I do found satisfactions from unleashing flashy moves, but should the enemies have more care about their defenses, pattern-wise?I plan to do more complicated patterns for later enemies and bosses. Right now, I feel like the enemies shouldn't be as smart at first because you know... this is the beginning of the game. XD
Demo Soon!

May we know the upcoming demo's size? Some countries like mine will writhe from large files do a dreadful internet limiter named quota :(
About 109mb. Can you take that much? o;
WELL THEN.
- Good point about the save anywhere idea. I should start doing that while the game's incomplete. (Probably do a patch at some point)
- You can fight the plants as they don't impact the story path anymore. If you know how to beat them, then congrats, you've opened yourself some new paths to use in the future. If not, you can have Creux tell you the clue on how to defeat them ( that is if he's in your party while in battle).
- Yes. It's necessary to destroy the save point because Syou's a troll *shot*. Don't mind that, it's only a running gag between me and a group of people, so consider that an easy easter-egg.
- Deshell lowers defense. Yep.
- LOL oh god, sorry about that mapping mistake.
- Maybe I should increase the recoil of the enemy by 2 more steps if you've successfully fled from it.
- Dem bats. I Totally forgot to fix their path. Sorry about that.
- So EXP is too low. I see, I'll go tamper with that whenever I have the chance xD
- Kozi, I only removed him because I'm currently constructing his sprites atm. He'll be one of those "Special" AI-controlled temporary 4th party members. c:
- Glad you liked the new battle system c: And yeah, I'll go look into those enemy paths and hopefully make them easier to escape.
With that said, thanks for the test run!

WELL THEN.
And a note, I'm not really good with English as it isn't my native language, so expect for some dialogue to sound awkward. (I'm Asian, you should know we tend to use "Engrish" at times without even knowing).
It's in the front page.
Also, no offense but you may seem like you're being nitpicky there. And I, for one, will ignore any nitpicking involved since they are minor and inconsequential. What I'm looking for is the main course, something this game can REALLY improve on. Gameplay-wise, Story-wise, etc etc. All I see there are complaints on the way I use words, character interactions, mapping, and how I sprite these overworld sprites. This game is far from finished, and the reason why I didn't polish such minor things is because I'm more focused on the gameplay, story, character art, and character development. Those minor things you've mentioned can be revised and edited once the game is complete.
Anyway, the first thing there: I see where you're coming from when you thought that moving blocks were something of a filler. But it's not. Fact of the matter is, the whole entire intro chapter secretly screams out "HELLO, THIS IS A TUTORIAL STAGE." Ever thought of that even once? If not, I should do a survey on how many people thought the intro stage wasn't much of a tutorial.
And there's a reason why the intro map is lifeless (SPOILER ALERT):
Chapter 4: Kozi reveals factual evidence that the city was demolished by an experiment from the government which is... Le-Shevat, "A flying Ark, capable of bringing a city into ruins."
Also, the place is called "Souen Suburbs," where all the Kanotian purges started.
Also, the place is called "Souen Suburbs," where all the Kanotian purges started.
The bug is easily fixable and avoidable so don't worry too much about it. This will be most likely removed when I get back on working on Edel Sky. But for now, College is a priority.
Furthermore, there might be something wrong with your computer because there should be music after the screen went white (And after Mana talks to you for the first time). I've tested this several times already. I don't know why no music plays for you. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone hear a relaxing piano jazz music?
And the first chapter. Come on. Do you expect the FIRST chapter to be challenging? As you play the game more, you will notice that the difficulty will start to rise, to the point where you will get many game overs (Maybe) before you realize "Ah, so that's what the boss's weakness is!" (And it's not just PURE button mashing that's going to kill them).
Thanks for your effort on helping me out though. I can see why you didn't get interested immediately. The intro seems weak, and as far as I'm concerned, when it comes into "essays"-- The intro is always the one that matters. So I might work on that when I'm not busy.
