Thanks, Ciel. That means a lot to me.

And thanks to you for completely ignoring my post. :)

...So wait, no matter what, it's always option B, especially if it's boring?

Gibmaker should now;
A) Focus his attention on Forkits
B) DROP EVERYTHING ELSE AND FINISH SET DISCREPANCY (while watching paint dry)
C) Take a vacation

And now I feel bad that I never got to the end of the chapter with all the locked doors. I'm no good with locked doors. Aniwai, this is and shall probably remain in the top 3 of the best games to ever grace this site, even incomplete and with so many locked doors. So no need for guilt and sorrow, except as midbosses in a Kojima game.

Locked doors in Chapter 6 are easily bypassed if you've got a high enough Hack stat. Your hacking doesn't even need to be successful, since due to the best glitch in the whole game, failing a hack in Chapter 6 and then choosing cancel makes the hack successful either way! 8D

I'm happy you made it to the end even in spite of things-that-crash. :O Thank you for the refreshment of guilt and sorrow.

D:

Gosh, how should I respond to that? Would you like;
A) A serious reply with words of praise and encouragement?
B) A more lighthearted reply in which I just sort of play along?
C) A reply full of magnificent madness?

Even though you were unable to finih this game, what's there is simply awesome and it's definitely something to be proud of! Even Chapter 6, in all its buggy beta-glory, had some amazing moments worth remembering. And somehow -I don't know why exactly- that ending of riding away in a tram kinda feels like flying away in a chopper into the sunset; i.e. riding/flying off towards a happy ending, like in classic horror-game endings, you know? Read: blah blah blah, symbolism symbolism, bright future ahead, etc. etc. 8D

In any case, I feel Chapter 6 was a nicer way to end this project on and I think it's a very good thing you made it public. Give yourself a pat on the back, you did great!

You are most welcome, sir. But do not fret for long, for you have left behind a truly inspirational work of art!

Oh no! :( You make me feel bad about stopping. Sadly the chapter 6 demo is full of bugs that will never be fixed. But I think you'll be the first person to see it if you choose to play.

I just finished chapter 6 and well, the bugs weren't too bad, really. For most of the chapter, I didn't notice any real problems, it wasn't until near the end of the chapter that I started experiencing the joy of game crashes.

But that wasn't the most noteworthy thing about the ending of the chapter. No, the whole sequence where you have to trigger the lvl. 3 fire alarm, now that was intense. Epic ending sequence, really! :o
(It had been so long since I played the previous chapters that I kinda forgot about that lovely psycho doctor who keeps stalking you with murderous intent, yikes...)

I guess I'll hold on to my savefile. You never know... ;)

Aww, I was wondering what happened to this game (I've been out of the loop for a good while with RPG Maker games). Shame to see it's on hiatus. On the plus side, I never got to try the Chapter 6 beta demo, which I'm going to start playing right now. All the warnings about this beta's unstable nature kinda scare me, though... xD

In any case, best of luck with your new project!

So. It's been a while.

Amazing news! ^^

I have very fond memories of Ara Fell. I first played it pretty much the moment it was released (that version still used the Pirates of the Caribbean theme as the main battle theme). I really enjoyed it and still do! The maps are simply stunning and I really like the music that plays on the overworld (taken from The Lion King SNES game, yes?), it created such a fantastic atmosphere. Of course, it helps that I just love floating fantasy worlds (e.g. Kingdeam of Zeal from Chrono Trigger, Shevat from Xenogears, etc.), I've got kind of a thing for such settings.

A few years after the game's continuation was cancelled, I managed to find a post of yours on another forum (I think it was on a site you made for an Ara Fell spin-off or reboot or something like that?) where you revealed how the story would have ended. I copied that post into Notepad and saved it into my Ara Fell game folder. xD Yup, I love the game that much.

Anyway, it's fantastic news to see that this game project has been revived once more. You can be sure I'm totally buying this once it's complete!
