On the other hand there's more people in the London area than all of Finland so the odds of being one of the dead is incredibly tiny.

Of course the odds matter little too if you're dead.

True story, I was walking down to the shops on Friday, and around a couple hundred feet behind me a drunk driver crashed into two joggers. Both the joggers as well as the driver died.

You're always just a few steps ahead of death.
